GE Dishwasher model PDW8200J03BB stopped draining. Removed the drain pump, checked with Voltmeter and there is resistance on ohms X10 of about 3. The flap is in place so water isn't shooting back into the sump inlet. Replaced the sump inlet about 6 months ago because it was deteriorated due to hard water. Pump worked fine after that. Seems you answered your own question here. You need to make an air gap in the drain hose - take as much slack as possible and make a curve (upside down U) under you sink as high as you can go. Recently installed a GE Merlin RO Drinking Water System. Flow of waste concentrate through the air gap faucet down the drain is considerably faster than the purified water. Adding a booster pump did not solve the problem. Neither of the local service provider listed for my area are willing to prvide help. Any ideas on what to do next?
