Having problems with your Dishwashers ?

Possible heater fault

\015 My dishwasher wasn't working at all, so I sent off the pcb for repair, which they've done. But they said the fault was probably caused by the heater, so I need to check that. How do I do it? \015\012I have a meter, so can I measure the resistance? If so, what should it be?\015\012Thanks\015

Answers :

With your meter set to Ohms (touch the red and black probes together and confirm that the meter needle moves to the far right.)\015\012
\015\012Disconnect your Dishwasher from house power.
\015\012
\015\012Then open up the DW and find where the heater element connects to the heavy gauge wire. Disconnect those wires and touch each probe to the terminals of the element. You should see a closed circuit by the needle moving to the far right.\015\012
\015\012If nothing happens, the element is toast and needs to be replaced. \015\012
\015\012Please report back with what you find.\015\012
\015\012Good Luck!

FDW60 Fault Hi, I have exactly the same problem. My dishwasher starts and washes ok but appears to get very hot during the drying phase and then the two lights fast and eco flash warning of a heater problem. I suspect either the heater, thermostat or control PCB. As the rest of the cycle seems of and the water gets hot then I'm assuming the heater and thermostat are OK. When the dishwasher attempts to dry is when the problem starts. Did anyone find out what there fault was? Thanks

I have Whirlpool control board part #8267371. The problem is that the dishwasher does not complete a cycle. A green light on the door will flash. From what I understand it indicates a failure in the heater at some point. I replaced the heater and all I am left with now is the possibility that the control board has failed. So my question is this. Are there common problems associated with these boards ? Which components should I be looking at ? I don't have a schematic. Or is there anyone that can

Yeah, I'm in the middle of that, too. There's a thermal fuse you can check with a meter just above the control panel inside the front door. It should be 0 ohms. Then it's the control board, I guess. Looking for the same one myself right now. I'm goin ... Kenmore 24 in. 16032 Built-in Dishwasher

HE error My LG LD-14aw1 is showing HE error code - Heater Circuit is troubled???. (Not as much as owner!!!). I have repaired several dry solder joints in the control module, which have been causing various operating failures, but the HE problem has got me stumped. Can anyone provide me with a wiring diagram of the machine and or the control module? I'd like to trace the heater circuit to see if I can find the fault. Many thanks

My Bosch diswasher is hanging up in the cycle (at 102 mins. in normal cycle and 38 mins in quick cycle). I hear what sounds like a one second pumping of water into the sink area, a pause, and then another one second pumping of water, on and on, but there's no progression beyond this point. One possible cause: a few weeks ago someone turned off the hot water at the heater and another person tried to run the dishwasher. The dishwasher did not function because it could not get hot water.
