Dirty dishes The dishwasher does not wash the dishes properly seems to make all the normal noises but when finished its cycles the dishes are still dirty. Water remains at bottom after dish cycle is complete . Dishes come out clean and everything seems normal except for the water that remains at the bottom of the dish washer. I realize that a small amount of water is usually there but this is too much.

We have a Sears Ultra Wash III dishwasher, model 665.1677993, bought in October, 1995. It is not filling with enough water to get the dishes clean. I took the water valve out and looked at it and it seems okay. It doesn't look like the valve is opening all the way - just my guess. A small stream of water comes out with good pressure, but it is a small stream. I can't find any screens or filters in the water line coming in. The fill cycle lasts only about a minute. Is that adequate? Steve

Frigidaire built in dishwasher model PLD2855RFC1. Have to wash dishes pretty much spotless prior to using dishwaser. Glasses come out with what appears to be soap residue regardless if powder or liquid. Did not use a gauge but water pressure in rest of house is good, recently replaced water heater, pressure regulator and just replaced the dish washer water source valve. Washer is about 18 months old, has never worked really well.

I have a Whirlpool dishwasher model number DU1055XTPQ4 that is not cleaning the dishes. When the dishwasher is working, the bottem arm is turning and water comes out the holes. The middle arm has some water coming out, but does not turn. The top arm does nothing. It appears I have a pressure problem. I took out all the arms and cleaned them, along with the plastic tube that feeds them water. They had some build up on them but not much. I have the same result as before. I took off the

MAYTAG MDBH979AWS DOES NOT SEEM TO FILL WITH WATER, AND HAS STOPPED CLEANING THE DISHES..My husband took everything apart and we cleaned each piece and put it back together , there was no indication that anything was clogged, and he was able to determine that water was coming in to the washer, but dishes are still dirty. There seems to be soap residue on the bottom of the tub. We also check to see if it was draining properly and that was fine also. Any other suggestions?

Dishwasher I have a whirlpool dishwasher that does not appear to be getting hot water. The washer water is cold initially and only seems to get warm once the heater in the base of the machine heats it. The hot water supply line does not get hot so I presume no water is being supplied. Is the water supposed to be hot at the start. If yes could this be caused be a faulty inlet valve and if so how can I check. The dishes are dirty especially on the top rack. Thanks for your help. Item: Whirlpool Ultra Dishwasher Age: 3 yrs Problem: Not enough water to effectively wash the dishes. State: When the dishwasher is started, the fill valve opens as normal. Only about 1/2 the amount of water is let in when the pump turns on and the washing cycle begins. Opening the door shows that the water level does not reach the bottom of the float. When I close the door, the wash cycle begins again but stops after a few seconds. This is when the water begins to fill again. This time, the wat

Frigidaire Dishwasher FDB740RC. Not cleaning dishes well. Just in the past couple weeks. When the dishwasher fills with water, how full should it get. When mine fills, it definitely doesn't go up to the element, and just barely makes it to the float switch (not enough to trigger it), makes it to just below the base of it, doesn't come up the side of it at all. Is this normal, or should there be more water. The Water valve has been replaced already.

My GE Nautilus DW doesn't fully drain. When it is drained as much as it will it leaves water in the sump at the rear right. If you run the pump at that point, it sucks water out of the sump, but when you open the door and the pump stops water flows back into it. It seems like there is a check valve that isn't working. I have cleaned the sump and the screen which runs accross the rear. I also have taken the plunger out and cleaned it. Then I took the housing for the plugner off the bottom. I don'

Dishlex Global 310 model. My dishwasher has water sitting on the bottom of it and it wont drain. I noticed it after I did a cycle of dirty dishes and the 'fast' light was flashing when I went to open it. Which shouldnt have been because it was on a normal wash. Upper spray arm is not turning round even though water is coming through. We have checked the internal system for blockages and the machine is filling / draining as normal. When a full programme is run, many of the dishes, particularly on the top shelf, are dirty and many have hardly been touched by water. Could a pump or other part be faulty?

I have a GE dishwasher (GSD4020Y70BB) new in 1996. I replaced the whole motor assembly in 2007, seal was leaking. My Miele dishwasher is about 16 months old. Initially it was awesome. Now it doesn't get anything truly clean on any rack. Every item has scum and traces of food or drink left on it. I've cleaned the filter and the no-return valve, and refilled the salt (yes, I used the right one) and rinse aid. The manual has no other instructions to remedy dirty dishes. The water is hot, and the machine seems to be running just fine. Where should I look for a problem?

My 13 year old Frigidair dishwasher (model FDB221RFR2) is not disolving the soap tab that drops in during the later cycles. We sometimes find the soap sitting on dishes or on the bottom. It appears that there may not be enough water but I'm sure of how much there actually should be. It also appears that the soap may be dropping late but again I'm not sure of when it should normally drop. I checked the inlet value and it appears to be ok. I also checked the timer (to the best of my ability) and i
