Having problems with your Dishwashers ?

I have a six year old dishwasher that started leaking water out of where the heating element is attached on the lower part of the unit. It appears as though the heating element has melted through the plastic. Is this a flaw in the design and is there a recall on this?

Element is on though when it shouldn't be to begin with. I did have to tighten the water supply. Had some water underneath, but all wires seemed dry. Any tests I should t

It appears that water is not running through the dishwasher or that the sprayers are not working correctly. There doesn't appear to be a clog. However, I did find a round rubber "washer" (I think that is what they are called) laying in the bottom of the dishwasher - where does this part go. It was working fine until this wash. The heating element works fine but like I said it appears that something may be wrong with the spray tower. Please advise Model number of Hotpoint: HDA3420Z01BB T
