My dishwasher is not dissolving the detergent and the dishes are not getting clean. What may be the problem?

Your heater element is probably not working. The heated water is what desolves detergent and consequentally cleans the dishes. you can check element for continuity with an ohm meter but will have to get below dishwasher. Kind of a pain, really. Hope this helps

My dishwasher (Kenmore Elite 665) doesn't use up all the detergent in the detergent cup - it always leaves a little behind at the end of the cycle. the dishes don't get quite as clean any more, either. I recently replaced my old water heater - we were getting lots of little plastic pieces in our faucet screens. I'm guessing that the water pressure may be low, and that it may be due to the same problem. Is there a screen-type filter that filters the incoming water, before it enters th

My Asko D1976 dishwasher is not cleaning dishes properly. There is a lot of clumped detergent left in the dispenser after wash cycles are complete, and many of the dishes have dried-on food left on them. I rinse dishes before loading them into the washer, I have made sure the jets and washer arms are clean, and made sure the food trap at the bottom of the washer is empty, yet the problem persists. I think it has to do with the detergent not dissolving and dispensing. Is there some reason the

The detergent dispenser [Main Wash] door doesn't stay closed. It seems like there is something wrong with the latch, but we can't what. We've cleaned it, but don't know what else to try. There don't seem to be pieces missing or broken. But no matter what, when we put in the detergent [we use the cubes] the door always just pops open and the detergent ends up falling to the bottom on the dishwasher. The dishes are still getting relatively clean, but we want to solve the problem with the door

Soap problems Not only won't the soap dissolve but there are granules on the inside of my glasses. The dishes are also not getting very clean. I have been using cascade 2 in 1 action packs for a few months now with no problem, they've been great. I had done a wash 2 days before with no problem.

Dishes in the upper rack no longer get cleaned. I've been using this dishwasher since 2004 (purchased new), and have not changed the way I loaded the dishes or the detergent. I called the Kitchen Aid help line, and the rep simply read the owner's manual to me (e.g., stand a glass of vinegar in the dishwasher and run a cycle), which did not address the problem. Any idea what I need to do? Thank you!

Like so many others, I am experiencing a problem with my GE dishwasher's smartdispense. I have ALWAYS used the SAME detergent(Cascade Complete)and still have the gumming-up issue. Hello, I have a Kitchen Aid dishwasher, model KUDS30IVWH3. The dishes have not been getting as clean lately, the bottom is decent but the top rack is not getting very clean. Also, when I open the door after the cycle is done, there's a bunch of detergent at the bottom of the door and on the floor of the dishwasher, like it isn't getting sprayed all over or something. Don't know if I have to check the water intake valve or if maybe the sprayers could be partially clogged.

Our Whirlpool KUDP01ILBS2 dishwasher isn't working like it used to. Dishes seem to be getting partially clean, they aren't getting dry at all and it seems they may be being rinsed/washed with dirty water. There is plenty of water in the machine when I interupt the cleaning cycle. I always run the hot water in the sink before I start the dishwasher so the first water into the dishwasher is as hot as possible. Also the sani-rinse light is flashing when the cycle "completes".

My 5-year old Bosch dishwasher leaves a somewhat fine grit on dishes? especially obvious on the inside of glasses. I use only Cascade detergent, use a rinse aid, don't overfill the machine, and always make sure that the filter at the bottom of the dishwasher is clean. Recently my Maytag dishwasher has been leaving glassware filmy and not cleaning silverware and dishes as well as it had previously. I had a repairman look at it and he said I should use the "accu temp" setting for hotter water. I've used two dishwasher cleaner products and nothing has improved the results.
