Having problems with your Dishwashers ?

My Whirlpool dishwasher stutters loudly during wash cycle. It's an intermittent thing, in the sense that sometimes when i run the dishwasher it doesn't do it at all. But also in the sense that when it does do it, it's for like a couple of seconds, then fine for a bit, then stutters again for a few seconds, fine for a minute etc etc. Sound is coming from inside, kind of like the power is turning on and off rapidly. It's a Whirlpool ADP-8540 Stainless Steel (Made in Germany)

Answers :

A symptom like this is commonly caused by a failing wash pump motor. If you are having this problem and the dishes are not getting as clean as they used to, the motor is most likely the problem.

Whirlpool dishwasher doesn't seem to fill with enough water despite good water pressure. Therefore, pump sounds like it is cycling from pumping water for about 2 seconds to going dry for 2 seconds to pumping water for 2 seconds to going dry for 2 seconds, etc. Spray arms rotate only for the 2 seconds when pump is actually pumping water. Dishes do not get clean.

Portable Dishwasher Hello, We just got a used Haier portable dishwasher, model HDP18PA and while the hose connnects fine to the sink, the water isn't going into the dishwasher and is coming out of the connection. Does that make sense? It looks like, if it operates properly, the water should be sucked into the dishwasher but the connector isn't pulling the water in. Help! Thank you! Tara

You have to have a good seal. Get a hose washer from your local hardware store and replace both of them on the hose if they are like a garden hose. If you still don't get any water to the unit, post again and I'll step you through it. ... Dishwashers

I have a Whirlpool dishwasher, model DU943 that's under 7 years old. I went to use it last night and it won't power on. I tried selecting all of the cycles, but the dishwasher never came on. I looked through the troubleshooting tips in my manual (like checking the circuit breaker for a tripped fuse, which was fine) and I still have a problem. what else can I try? thanks.

Hello- This unit has a thermal fuse inside the door panel on the control. This part is replaceable. If it is bad, replace.- and would suggest not using heated dry as this is most common cause of fuse failure. Let me know if this info helps- have more ... Whirlpool Dishwashers

I have a Whirlpool quiet partner III dishwasher that began to make a loud scratchy noise when the cycle started. This went on for a few months but it was still cleaning the dishes. Last weekend we tried it and it just kind of stopped---there is a kind of buzzing at the point when the cycle should start and then it does nothing. It does still drain of the cancel cycle. What does this sound like

There could be some debris obstructing the spray arm assembly from turning freely, puting extra working load on the motor and it now started to cut off(thats why you get the buzzing noise) since the motor also activates the water pump(reversible) it ... Whirlpool Dishwashers

Hi there, Ok, i think i'm getting close to solving this problem. I have an LG dishwasher- Model # LDS 5811ST. I have stripped it down and clean all hoses etc. It is running fine through all the cycles. The only problem is that it has no water pressure. In other words water is pumping into the dishwasher but it's like there is no pressure behind it to force it through the holes in the propellers so it's just kind of dumping water out as opposed to having any forced pressure. Hope this makes se

My Whirlpool Gold dishwasher "shuts down" after the first 2-10 minutes, leaving the Sensing light and the Water Heating light showing. Any suggestions? Also, the horseshoe-shaped metal coil at the bottom of the dishwasher is burnt-colored. When I touch it, it looks like black soot has fallen off of it. Thank you ahead of time for your assistance!

As you mentioned the coil is burned that can also be the problem.it has to be replaced.but also other possibility is faulty shut-off valve in the dishwasher makes the unit shut -off after certain period of time.\015\012----------------\015\012so chec ... Whirlpool Dishwashers

I have a Jenn-Air JDB9910AWB dishwasher. The problem I am having is everything seems to work fine until the drain cycle. It sounds like the pump is frozen. After selecting the drain button you can hear a click in the control panel followed by a 1-2 second growl in the pump but it doesn't turn or pump. I am assuming the pump runs in reverse for draining? Is it safe to assume the pump is bad?

Hello, I've been working on a Bosch Dishwasher. It has no display of any kind, and there's a strange grunting sound coming from the wash motor when power is applied (like if you had just plugged it in), as if it's trying to start. The junction box is getting 120V, all connections to the junction box are fine, and the display board and the main control board are all getting the proper voltage. Now, we've already replaced the main control board and the problem persists. The tech line suggested
