Dishwasher trips breaker - Dishwashers
Sounds like it's not wired correctly or has a short. Black, red, and blue wires can be hot while white is usually neutral and green is ground. Make sure it is wired properly and try again. If it's still happening, you may not have your wire nuts fully secured or the bare copper of the wires may be too long and are being grounded to trip the breaker. You could also have water dripping into the power junction. Open the kick plate to gain access to the power junction and look for water and check for proper wiring. When in doubt, undo all of the wiring and turn on the breaker, use a volt meter to find the wire with power and mark it to attach after you flip the breaker off again.

I have a GE Quiet Power 3 dishwasher that was working fine last week. Over the weekend I ran it and we could hear a banging noise, so my boyfriend opened it three or four times in a row (during the cycle) to figure out what it was. The fourth time, it went dead. I checked and it had tripped the breaker. I reset the breaker and the dishwasher seemed to be working again, however the lights on the front were flashing (they hadn't previously), and now it will run for about 10 minutes but no water ru

When trying to start the dishwasher, pressing the Normal wash button, the dishwasher gives a huge clunk and then it trips the circuit breaker. Upon resetting the breaker, I tried the next button over, which is Soak and Wash, and it seems to go thru the cycle fine.
