I have a dishwasher that when you hook it up and apply the water to it the water doesnt go into the dishwasher. It runs but no water at all in the washer. what is the problem?

My bosch dishwasher runs fine, cleans fine, drains fine....but after it has been just sitting for a while, the bottom very slowly fills up with water.
