Having problems with your Dishwashers ?

My Maytag MDBH965AWW Legacy Series 300 is making a loud grinding noise. I took off the lower spray arm and other parts below it to see if something was lodged near the chopper blade. What I found was broken plastic pieces from the bottom of the filter/flowplate assembly. It appears that the chopper blade is coming in contact with the filter/flowplate assembly and therefore the chopper blade is chopping away at the bottom of the filter/flowplate assembly. What do you think the problem is? Ho

Myy kitchenaid dishwasher model kudi01flss doesn't start even though the lights on the panel light up so I opened up the door to look at the latch and found a broken plastic piece that appears to be part of the latch. Could this be why the machine doesn't start. The funny this is the door still seems to snap closed even with this broken piece but what I'm thinking is that this piece activates some sort of electrical connection that turns the machine on when the door is closed. It appears to finish it's cycle, as far as the dishes are clean - however there is clean water that has pooled on the bottom. you can hear the water fresh coming in - the pump comes on for a few minutes, drains some of the water and shuts off - the pump comes on again - drains some of the water and turns off. I turned the water going into the dishwater off - the pump ran for a few minutes - drained some of the water and then just sits there with the red power light on - there is still the same

I have a Whirlpool DUL300XTLQ3 Queit Partner III. The cleaning blades stopped moving-started it-waited awhile-opened it-the blades were in the same position. Took the bottom blade+filter cover off. I have the Siemens SL84A305UC Dishwasher. All of a sudden it stopped cleaning dishes, but everything sounds normal and it fills and drains water, and sounds like it is completing the cycle. In the past when I opened the door while it was actively washing the water would spray out aggressively. My dishwasher is leaking from underneath, front left as you look at it. If i go underneath it, there appears to be a seal on the outside (it does not appear to be the one that runs along the bottom of the inside of the dishwasher) that has come away at one point. Do you know a) how to get the front panel off (the bit that makes it look built in),b) how can i get another one of these seals. I assume if i get one we can just fit it into place. Many thanks, Robyn J

Kitchenaid dishwasher - small pieces of food are left on otherwise clean dishes. Water level comes to about 1 inch below heater coil. I ran it without dishes (or soap) and added about a quart of water so that level came to about 1/4 inch below heater and that's when I noticed food pieces on drain surfaces (nylon filter under bottom spray arm unit and circular plastic "trap" surrounding it). Spray arms holes are clear and water is hot.

It sounds as if you figured the solution out. The holes in the spray arm(s) get plugged by small debris, (tooth picks, seeds, bits of plastic like candy wrappers, etc) and the water does not reach the dishes to wash and rinse effective ... Dishwashers

We live on an island in the Caribbean and we have a LG dishwasher (model LDF 8812) that has worked fine for a year, but has recently stopped washing effectively. Hi, We have a Frigidaire dishwasher machine 1500 series with fully electronic control. It is a new unit, has been installed nearly 4 months ago.
