My dishwashing isn't filling properly. I think there is residue on the float "thingy" (located on the bottom right side close to the door) and it doesn't float like it should, so the dishwasher thinks the water level is correct when it isn't. Dishwasher won't fill. replaced fill valve assy. checked float switch it's ok. timer seems to be cycling properly but i'm not getting power to fill valve solenoid. Is it the timer or advance module? and how do I test?

Since you are this deep into the machine, it would be easy to tell if that is the issue by using a meter to test for continuity THROUGH the switches on the timer. It might be the power supply is not working right to send the voltage to that switch. ... General Electric WD21X10013 TIMER

My sink got clogged and now my bosch dishwasher SHU43C05UC wont fill with water. I read on line that it most likely is the float is stuck and to access the front kickplate needs to be removed. Is there a diagnostic test that I can do that will display on the LED to make sure that this is the problem. How involved is it to unstick the float. Can it be done without moving the dishwasher and just working from the kickplate area?

I have a Bosch dishwasher model no. SHU66C05UC that does not drain properly. After checking for a clear drain tube and finding no problem. I removed the left side panel and found that the red float was not rising in the tube. If I pull up the trigger device to engage the pump switch the machine drains. What causes the float to stay down and what is required to free it? Thanks for any help.

SHX46B I have a 4 year old Dishwasher that filled up with clean water on it's own and leaked on the floor. There appears to ba a float switch switch on the very bottom of the unit that runs the pump if this happens. It won't stop until I remove the water caught in the plastic base on the very bottom of the unit. Drain is clear and this machine has worked fine until now. We have an Asko 1385 dishwasher. It drains via the same drain into which our kitchen sinks drain. We had a blockage there. When that was fixed we noticed that the dishwasher does not drain properly and does not fill at all yet it seems to go through its cycle.
