Having problems with your Dishwashers ?

I have a GE monogram zbd5900 that continues to drain, won't shut off. The drain pump just runs. None of the lights on the control panel will come on, tried pressing and holding buttons to clear, nothing. Turned off and on circuit breaker (even left it off overnight) and did not change. Drain is not blocked, pulled the unit out and put water in the bottom and it pumped the water out just fine. any thoughts?

See if you can access the tech sheet, should be on the right side of the underside of the unit after you remove the toe panel, or perhaps in the console. Almost sounds like a stuck key pad but the tech sheet might shed more information on this malfunction.

\015\012Good Luck
This happens because, Once the drain solenoid is activated the first time during the cycle, the valve will not return to the wash position even though the water drains completely out and filling begins. The solenoid de-energizes but the valve remains in the drain position, even if you try to manually move the cam back to the wash position. It seems as though the vacuum created by the pump is holding the valve in the drain position.
\015\012---------------
\015\012It sounds like the flapper valve has come loose from it's shaft.
Remove the spray arm assy etc., then hold the flapper in the drain position while moving the solenoid cam to see if this is the problem. If you manually force the cam into the wash position then the flapper should also go to wash position but according to the above it does not
\015\012-----------------
\015\012Actually it is water pressure that holds the flapper shut. When the unit goes into a drain cycle the solenoid is activated for a few seconds. It then deactivates but the water pressure keeps it closed. When the water is pumped out the pressure is reduced and the valve is returned to the wash position by the spring. Seems like this is not happening and the valve is staying closed even with reduced pressure.
--------------------
\015\012you will require the solenoid to be replaced.you can order and get the parts at

Hello, Our kitchenaid DW has stopped working. Non of the buttons cause a any of the lights to turn on. Of course, it will not start. On its last working cycle, it had a very strange washing cycle. It almost sounds like the water was not splashing around (even though I opened it while it was working and noticed water at the bottom). I checked the circuit breaker, and it is not tripped. For a couple of weeks, the DW had started making a kind of metallic noise while in the washing cycle. Also,

I have a bosch SHE58C dishwasher. The cycles all work, it fills so the water line is ok, it washes, and it drains so it is not clogged. I cleaned out the sump and it is all clear. Is there a way to reset the "brain"? I've tried killing the circuit breaker

They were even sanitized in hot water. I do not hear the water draining like it use to. When it worked properly you could always hear water draining into the GD. Now I can hear any draining. Again, there is no clogging anywhere in the drain line assembly. Is it a bad pump. I don't know where to go next with this.

I'm wondering if it is now something as simple as a clog somewhere since the washer sat unused for a month; or, if it is something more compli
