Having problems with your Dishwashers ?

When dishwasher is finished there is a lot of water in the bottom. Not just a little, but about 3 or 4 inches.

Answers :

That means the drain pump is not able to drain the water. Perhaps a glass broke recently and is jamming the pump? Maybe a foreign object?

First, the drain pump needs to be check to determine if any object is jamming it. If not, perhaps the food disposer is clogged and it is not letting the DW to drain. If there is no issue about the drain, then the drain pump may need to be replaced.

By the way, the drain pump is located under the dishwasher, easily located as the drain tube is connected to it.

I hope this helps.

Our Hotpoint Dishwasher Model HDA200X-73BA has two little white plastic pipe stubs poking out of the bottom of the dishwasher. During one of the cycles--(I don't think it is the drain cycle)-- some water is being released from one of these pipe stubs and then it stops and the other one runs some water. They each only run for a few seconds, but the water is just running on the floor. These little pipe stubs are about one half inch in diameter and project out of the bottom of the dishwasher about

I have a kenmore Ultra Wash Dishwasher, Model 15825691. We were recently hit by lighting. Once hit, the dishwasher started up. Since then, all cycles work, however, at the end of any cycle, the dishwasher continues to run and fill the bottom of the washer up to about two inches and then cuts off, so when we open the washer, there is approx 2 inches of water inside no matter what. I have pressed the "Cancel/Drain" button, in which drains the water after two minutes, but when that is finished, the

I have a DU8000XX6 series Kenmore dishwasher that won't drain the water properly. There is about a half inch of water in the tub and the float is raised (not sitting on tub bottom). When I lift up the float a little more I can hear the float switch make. I would assume that when the water is high enough the float switch makes and energizes a solenoid valve in the drain to drain the water, but shouldn't it stay open until all the water drains? The top drawer on our dishdrawers makes a clicking kind of noise for about the first 2 - 5 mins of being on. Then goes fine with the occassional clicking noise during the cycle. It is slightly noisier than the bottom drawer. When the cycle is finished there is a couple of inches of water left in the bottom, so the dishes don't dry properly. The bottom drawer works really well with no problems at all. What do you suggest?
