Having problems with your Dishwashers ?

Purchased a Bosch SMU50E15AU dishwasher and think the water hose may be too short as the washer needs to be installed in the corner rather than directly next to the sink - read that due to the anti flooding valve may not be possible to extend.. Any other solution?? Please help/advice Rgards

Answers :

You will have to add drain hose to this type install . do not use a smaller size. 5/8 in ok and no sharp bends . ribed drain hose is good . whirlpool ext hose kit is a good one to use . this should not cause any problems. mm

Hi I have a Neff built in dishwasher s5453X1GB/70 about 4 years old. Never had a problem before. Came downstairs last night to find the kitchen floor flooded. Water also still in machine. But must have been near end of cycle as plates all clean. I have read other links and opened pump compartment in centre of machine and syringed out all water and cleaned fan. When i switch on machine it is still making odd humming noise (emptying cycle?) I have read about anti -flood valve etc. Any more tip

Blanco BFDW6 dishwasher drains and sounds like it is going to start but stops after 2-3 seconds. Yesterday it was playing up and made a fairly small puddle on the floor. Electrics seem to have been a problem from early on as after a few months it would let me open it during the beginning of the cycle to add items without needing to restart program. I am not sure if problem is electric (may need a reset?) or due to anti-flood feature.

I am putting a 42'' counter behind the sink. I am in NJ and several plumbers say they can vent this. How is it possible to run the vent if you are not above flood rim. not allowed to use studa vent

I don't know the laws in NJ but in MT we would build what is called a loop vent. It is hard to explain but if you googled it I bet you could find some pictures. ... KitchenAid 24 in. KUDI01FLSS Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher

Hi there I purchased a Simpson Riviera 966 Dishwasher about 10 years ago and was very happy with it. All of a sudden water was flooding the kitchen from somewhere under the dishwasher, and not having the money to repair it at the time, it has just been sitting, and possibly the seals may need replacing. All electronic funtions seem OK on it however. Would it be possible to give me a quote on repairing the dishwasher - I HATE washing up !!!! My name is Hartley Cowderoy, and I Live at 65 Rosemount

I have a Diplomat ADP 8520 dishwasher (possibly SMEG manufacture) which will not stop trying to empty. There are 4 leds lit reading left to right and it beeps. I have read on some forums about pressing the programme button 4 times or holding it down for ten seconds to clear the fault but neither of these solutions work. I thought maybe that the drain was blocked but I put the pipe directly into the sink and it empties ok, problem is, it does not stop.

Fault is probably water in the bottom tray operating the anti-flood device. take bottom front panel off and mop out the water and it will work. if fault reoccurs then you have a leak ... Dishwashers

In between wash cycles, water seems to back up into the dishwasher. I had a plumber take a look at the drain and disposal in the kitchen sink to see if there was an issue there. He suggested to have appliance repair tech to come look and indicated that he believed that the issue may be the "cylianoid" valve. Does the this valve prevent water from backing up into the dishwasher after it has drained?

Kenmore 665.16762000 We were washing dishes the other night and my husband walked into the kitchen to find water pouring out of the "air gap" in the sink. Now we cant get the unit to come on. Ive tried some of the various combinations of button pushing to re-set, but so far still not operating. I am thinking it may be the "thermal fuse" due to some other questions here, but how can i confirm.... and the biggest question... how much is that gonna cost me to replace if i do it myself?

I'm having problems with the drain pump constantly running. I understand so far that it'll be the anti-flood device that is causing this. I've taken the dishwasher out and tipped it backwards to drain as much water out as possible but nothing comes out from anywhere ! It appears to be a sealed unit so how do I get to the appropriate part and fix it ? Cheers !

After cycle completed, opened door and found water did not drain. i removed the screen at the bottom and used wetvac to **** all the water out. i was also able to hear suction from hose to sink P trap. i'm confident there is no blockage. i attempted to run again only to find out the pump was running but, no water was filling the machine. Yes! the valves are open! two different issues? one other thing; due to the no thought behind this, the name plate was stuck to the inner part of the door whi

Blanco dishwasher Hi. Saw your answer on the Blanco dishwasher. We have same problem. Dishwasher makes all the pump sounds it used to, but does not start to drain at cycle start, and then no water comes in. read the manual again and think we may have been washing up - ie sinks plugged. Could this have triggered something. You mentioned something about a "micro switch" could you tell me where would this be?. We have a BFDW 650 S. Thanks, Angie

Not getting enough water flow into the dishwasher, suspect that a filter is clogged due to recent work on the waterline in the kitchen sink. Need to know where the filter might be located (on the dishwasher or on the intake valve before the connection to the dishwasher hose)? Also would I need to disconnect the water supply to pull out the dishwasher for access to such a filter.

You didn't specify a brand but most dishwashers don't have a water "filter." They may have an inlet screen at the water valve, which is typically located under the dishwasher. Generally, the lower front panel will have to be removed and you should ... Dishwashers

Our Whirlpool KUDP01ILBS2 dishwasher isn't working like it used to. Dishes seem to be getting partially clean, they aren't getting dry at all and it seems they may be being rinsed/washed with dirty water. There is plenty of water in the machine when I interupt the cleaning cycle. I always run the hot water in the sink before I start the dishwasher so the first water into the dishwasher is as hot as possible. Also the sani-rinse light is flashing when the cycle "completes".
