Having problems with your Dishwashers ?

Water is cold all time, fat remains on all dishes

Answers :

Does your washer have heated drying? Are the dishes drying? Your D/W should be plumbed on the hot water side so you should have hot water. The Element in the bottom of the unit will then raise and maintain the hot water. You can visually check the element to see if it is burnt anywhere. If it is not visible then you will need a meter to test to see if there is power getting to the element. If it has the correct voltage, then you will need to ohm out the element.

I have a Bosch SHU43C05UC diswasher. Last night, I put it on before going to bed as usual. I was awakened a couple of hours later to a loud grinding sound (like a pump being run dry), and found the noise coming from the dishwasher. The display read "0" time remaining, so I opened the door and the dishes seemed clean, so I left it shut off. Tonight I have been trying to troubleshoot the problem. I have a 2 year old Electrolux ESL 63010 dishwasher, and it worked perfect until a few days ago, when it did not wash cleanly and the dishes came out cold. I just purchased an LDF6920. It does not dry the dishes. In fact, there is water remaining in the bottom, and all the dishes and drum and door are beaded with water. It suggests putting some sort of water removing chemical, but I have never owned a dishwasher that did not made some effort to dry the dishes. I have to hand dry or have spots on everything. I am very, very disappointed with my new, and expensive, purchase.

Lately the soap remains in the dispenser, dried and caked in (I have to dig it out with a sharp object, as it becomes a solid piece). GE GSD4920Z dishwasher. Problem is that it does not drain completely at the end of the cycle--about an inch of water remains. There is water in the bottom of dish washer after finishing. If I start another cycle, everything drains, so it's not a problem with the hose. I hear water draining. I think it is the drain time. I just bought a used Kenmore standalone dishwasher and ran it for the first time. The dishes on the top did not get clean and the soap did not come out of the closed soup dish. at one point I took a shower and was wondering if that might have influenced the water pressure enough to cause the problem. Is the soap supposed to open during the wash and could the poor water pressure prevent the top shelf from getting properly washed?
