Having problems with your Dishwashers ?
I want to buy a new GE diswasher but I do not know about water inlet, is it hot water or it could be normal?
Dishwashers are usually connected to the hot water line under your kitchen sink. Although, a dishwasher has a heating element of its own, connecting it to the hot water side minimizes the amount of time the heating element cycles on and reduces the amount of electricity consumed.
Use a hot water inlet hose.

My Bosch diswasher is hanging up in the cycle (at 102 mins. in normal cycle and 38 mins in quick cycle). I hear what sounds like a one second pumping of water into the sink area, a pause, and then another one second pumping of water, on and on, but there's no progression beyond this point. One possible cause: a few weeks ago someone turned off the hot water at the heater and another person tried to run the dishwasher. The dishwasher did not function because it could not get hot water. I purchased a Whirlpool dishwasher in either July or August 2009 from Best Buy. It is not cleaning all my dishes. I have tried 3 different types of soap--the packets that came with it; powder; and liquid hoping that it would work. I have loaded light and heavy. I have tried the normal and light settings with rinse, hot water or not. They are just not getting clean. And the dispensers are not totally emptying. I already had to have a new dishwasher sent because the first one was damaged on

Dishwasher I have a whirlpool dishwasher that does not appear to be getting hot water. The washer water is cold initially and only seems to get warm once the heater in the base of the machine heats it. The hot water supply line does not get hot so I presume no water is being supplied. Is the water supposed to be hot at the start. If yes could this be caused be a faulty inlet valve and if so how can I check. The dishes are dirty especially on the top rack. Thanks for your help. I have a Delonghi dishwasher, it's a stand alone, like a washing machine. The water inlet is connected to the hot water tap, normally used for a washing machine. When we first started using the dishwasher, we kept getting the E4 error message, we reduced the water inlet pressure by turning down the tap, that worked for a while. Just a while ago, we started getting the E4 error message again, not sure we can turn down the tap any further without cutting the water off completely. Do you have a

Maytag dishwasher model MDB7609AWW2 has a blinking clean light. I followed the advice on fixya (thankya!) and by alternating the normal and heated wash buttons I was able to return the lights to normal. However, once I tried to run a normal cycle, it didn't do anything other than fill and drain. I then ran the hot water faucet in the sink until hot and tried another new cycle, but no luck. Any advice is MUCH appreciated!
Magic Chef DU4K is not draining all the water. There's at least a gallon of water standing in the bottom. I have cleaned the air gap assembly and drain line completely. They were even sanitized in hot water. I do not hear the water draining like it use to. When it worked properly you could always hear water draining into the GD. Now I can hear any draining. Again, there is no clogging anywhere in the drain line assembly. Is it a bad pump. I don't know where to go next with this.

I have a Whirlpool which just recently started leaking from the door occasionally and it is most unpredictable. It eventually stops, but before it does it will deposit about a pint of water. I have replaced the float and the float switch, thinking those were the cheapest parts and perhaps the switch was faulty and letting too much water in. That did not work. When this happens I checked the exhaust and hot steam is coming out. Could it be the water inlet valve? If the seal was bad I am ass

What could be causing white powdery residue on dishes, glasses & silverware? I have checked the heater element - seems to be hot, using Cascade powder as usual, we have and have had hard water, we do have a new water heater set on 'low' setting - temp of water measured at 113 deg at kit tap. This washer has worked well for 12 years, then white powdery residue. Thanks, Phil

My tappan dishwasher is only 1 1/2 yr old and its not getting at least 1/2 of dishes clean. We have tried everything from changing to liquid soap, increasing water pressure at meter, not using while washing clothes. We used a dishwasher cleaner to remove calcium, and run hot water in sink before using. We know the wand, pump and drain are working. It is model TDB210RFB5 with 1.1A motor. Is the motor too small to clean dishes? I wish I could get my money back or exchange for an upgrade. Thanks!

I have a new Frigidaire FDB1050RE diswasher. I ran it for the first time set on normal wash and pressing both the Hi-temp wash and heat dry button. This cycle is supposed to take a total of 89 minutes to complete including the drying cycle. After 89 minutes it was still in the wash cycle so I cancelled it to preserve sanity. In the instruction manual it states that the water temperature must be above 120°F. Our building's water heating unit is set at 110°F. Why there is a lower temperature
It should still work pretty well but you probably can't use the high temp wash because it will take too long for the dishwasher to heat up the water enough to satisfy the high temp washer thermostat. If the thermostat's calibrated closing temperature ... Frigidaire Dishwashers

Our GE dishwasher (5 yrs old, Model GLD4250L00CS) only fills with water half way when the unit is started. The inlet valve was replaced with a new one, but that did not solve the problem. When started, the dishwasher fill cycle runs for 41 seconds before the wash cycle begins. Repair workers told us we probably need a new ECU (Electronic Computer Unit). My questions are: Is 41 seconds the correct time for the fill cycle for our model? What else could be the reason for the unit not filling pr

Bosch dishwasher (SXH55MO6UC/46): The power comes on and runs normal, but no water is coming into the unit. I was told that it was a water inlet valve that needs to be replaced (part #263833). I need to know if this is what needs to be replaced and if so, is this something that I can do or do I need an expert repair service to do it? If it is something that I can do, I need instructions. I am handy, but this is something that I have not done before, Thank you, Craig Covey
