\015\012\015\012Thanks\015\012for using FixYa. Dishwasher not draining properly or not draining at all issues\015\012can arise due to different reasons. Usually, these issues are related to\015\012kinked hoses, knocked out disposer unit (if connected with the dishwasher drain\015\012hose) & clogged drain pump & filter. Also note that dishwashers do not\015\012drain completely after a finished cycle and this is normal. Dishwashers are\015\012designed to leave some water in the unit to ensure that the heating element\015\012doesn’t overheat. If you suddenly begin to experience a large amount of water\015\012being retained in your dishwasher, you have a problem. Some of the most common\015\012reasons include that the drain hose isn’t working properly, the drain pump\015\012isn’t working correctly, or possibly there is a plumbing problem in your home’s\015\012drain lines.

\015\012\015\012First\015\012check whether the drain is not clogged or blocked and the line is not kinked.\015\012Check all the hoses for blockages & also clean the air gap. Has the\015\012disposer been replaced recently? If so, chances are the knockout is still in place.\015\012Simply remove the drain hose from the disposer, and knock out the plug. If the\015\012disposer has not been replaced, try removing the drain hose from the disposer\015\012and use a wet-dry vacuum (prepared for water, of course) to **** any water (and\015\012hopefully anything else) from the drain line. Then reconnect the hose, and test\015\012the unit. If you have checked the air gap and the drain hose and can’t locate\015\012the problem, then it is an issue with the drain pump of the dishwasher.

Hi,
\015\012Normaly a pump assembly consists of a pump, wash impeller, and drain impeller. The pump pushes the water from the unit, the wash impeller pushes water through the spray arm, and the drain impeller pushes the water towards the drain port. You therefore need to check the dishwasher's pump assembly. Clear it from any particles that may be blocking it. Replace the pump assembly if any of its parts appear to be worn or defective.

I have an Asko D3230 which has activated what is probably the overfilling protection and the pump continues to run. The overfill activated because we had to pull out the machine to get to something and when putting back in there was a kink in the hose. Then we ran a cycle and the water wouldn't drain out. There is now no kink and we have removed all the water we can find. It is now completely empty but the pump continues to run even when the dishwasher is switched off, e.g. the off switch an

My karcher hds 745 is running but just won't build up pressure, this occurred after a really cold few weeks this winter and I hadn't put anti-freeze through the machine to winterize it. There's no water coming from the bottom of the machine when it's running as i've read that if the pump seals are faulty water will escape from the pump etc. The machine motor runs ok but no pressure is acheived on the gauge whatsoever. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance Paul.

I have a sears pressure washer, model 580752300. The pump on the underside vibrated lose and broke a couple screws. It came off and the oil drained out. I replaced the screws and it's ready to go except I can't find out how much replacement oil to put back in. Sears has larger containers but won't tell you how much oil to put in. However, there's a pricey pre-measured container they want to make you buy. Anybody know how much oil goes in that pump?
