Will not take in water on any programme - Dishwashers

Answers :

Assuming you have water pressure at the valve place a volt meter or a small lamp across the solenoid valve wires. If it lights or you show approximately line voltage the solenoid valve is bad, if not it is in the controls.

Bosch slimline dishwasher SRS560. Unit has had this fault for a while, now going a bit mouldy so keen to repair it. Displays following Symptoms 1) Firstly empty motor drains water. This appears to be fine as I can hear the gurgling of the plug. 2) Then takes water from inlet to fill internal tank. I can hear the water entering the tank, and tap pressure indicates that water is being taken in. 3) The unit then sits there and does nothing for 25 mins until programme ends. I've

Dishwasher confused Dishwasher was switched off just after cycle commenced (tablet had been released). On restarting dishwasher, it wouldn't take in water and has just been going through the motions of the cycle without anything happening. Even when the power button on the machine is switched off or the door is opened, the motor continues to run but without water. Water is definitely switched on under sink. I think the computer is confused - can you please help?

I suspect this is nothing to do with switching off during the cycle.take the bottom plate off and check if there is water leaked into the bottom pan. alternatively, if you can, tilt the machine back to 45deg and see if water runs out.most ... Dishwashers

Dishwasher will not fill with water. I've already checked the float assembly, that seems to be working fine. The water just doesn't seem to run into the machine. The sinks and pipes got all clogged up and we had to take them apart to clear up. Immediately afterwards the dishwasher stopped filling with water. I don't see how the two can be r

Kenmore Elite: - Stale smell from dishwasher, won't go away, lingers on dishes, glasses. I tried a vinegar remedy suggested by a diy site - it helps for a cycle or two, but the smell comes right back. Diy site suggested taking apart the dishwasher to see if there is food trapped: there always remains a little water at the end of each cycle - but I'm concerned about taking apart my dishwasher if there is another solution. Smell doesn't smell of food to me. What do you think? Hollie Smith

Hi - My Electrolux ESL63010 dishwasher seems to be stuck mid programme. It was part way through a programme when we had a pipe burst. Pipe all sorted now but the dishwasher just makes a noise like it is asking for water but nothing happens. When you open the door, it makes three short beeps and the light flashes on the programme menu. Any ideas how to solve? It definitely is not the pipes as the washing machine feeds from the same pipe and is working fine. Help!

Dishwasher overflows I have a Maytag PDB3600AWX dishwasher. The pump works well, pumps all water out of the tub when reaching the appropriate cycle state. However, it keeps taking in water when it's not running / turned on (e.g., overnight) and the tub starts overflowing, cuasing obvious leakages (to the basement). What part needs to be replaced? When dishwasher is set to begin, sensor takes very long period of time. Cycles are longer than minutes indicated. Dishwasher fills with water but does not wash. Water then drains as though cycle is complete and moves to next cycle. Then the process continues. When cycle for drying is reached, much heat is given and occasionally it smells as though there is burning. A 82 minute procedure turns into hours.
