Having problems with your Dishwashers ?

I have a Frigidaire dishwasher that I have had for a year and a half - 8 months ago it broke and leaked into my kitchen ruining my wood floor which had to be replaced. Shortly after that the top sprayer arm had to be replaced. It has now leaked again with a much more prominent leak and has ruined a portion of my floor again.

Answers :

I would check to make sure that the top spray arm wasn't over tightened when it was installed. That spray arm threads onto a plastic supply tube which is easy to strip, which will cause it not to tighten properly and leak down the side of the dishwasher and acros the floor.

Magic Chef DU55CA-01 unit runs but when pump kicks on for discharge cyle water leaks on the floor from the what appears to be the solenoid part. The leaking stops as soon as the pump turns off. What part needs to be replaced? The unit was in storage for some time would this just be an issue with it sitting for some time? What is the best way to determine the real cause of the leak?

Leaking from drain valve shaft seal. If you just replace the seal it may still leak. Replacing the pump is a lot of work and not really worth it to cure a small leak. ... Magic Chef 24 in. DU6550 Built-in Dishwasher

Water Leak My dishwasher is an Ariston Advantage AF250: I have been told that internally its the same as a Hotpoint DF55. It intermittently leaks water onto the floor from the front at its base during use. At one time it ruined the motor which I had rewound and at the same time I made a new polystyrene float for the base pan overflow switch. All was well for months, but now its leaking again. I have blown through the tubes from the drain filter well to the pressure sensitive switch, but all

Now the old one just went and I want to put this one in. It fit nicely, works great but leaks all over the floor. It is level and I check most of the parts. How can I shut off the water supply to the dishwasher? It fills slowly with water from the top (while not running), and then water spills out over the kitchen floor. By pressing the 'Drain' button, the water will drain out, but I have to get to it before it floods. It takes about 4 hours for it to get to the overflow stage. It is a Jennair model, about 9 years old. We have a lot of limescale, it is probably time to replace it, but for the moment my main concern is to stop the leak. Thank you for

There should never be bubbled up soap in your dishwasher. That is a sure sign of using dish soap instead of dishwasher soap. That will cause leakage. To remedy, cut open 3 or 4 pyhzeme (spelling?) capsules (usually used f ... GE 24 in. Profile PDW7800 Built-in Dishwasher

Leaking Dishwasher seems to be leaking. Otherwise it's performing fine. I have laminate floors, and there are water seeping out along the seams of the flooring area near the dishwasher. I am a novist, but I have taken the motor completely out and replaced the seal / gasket that the motor sits in, but there still is a leak.
