\015\012\015\012Thanks\015\012for using FixYa. Dishwasher not draining properly or not draining at all issues\015\012can arise due to different reasons. Usually, these issues are related to\015\012kinked hoses, knocked out disposer unit (if connected with the dishwasher drain\015\012hose) & clogged drain pump & filter. Also note that dishwashers do not\015\012drain completely after a finished cycle and this is normal. Dishwashers are\015\012designed to leave some water in the unit to ensure that the heating element\015\012doesn’t overheat. If you suddenly begin to experience a large amount of water\015\012being retained in your dishwasher, you have a problem. Some of the most common\015\012reasons include that the drain hose isn’t working properly, the drain pump\015\012isn’t working correctly, or possibly there is a plumbing problem in your home’s\015\012drain lines.
\015\012
\015\012

\015\012\015\012First\015\012check whether the drain is not clogged or blocked and the line is not kinked.\015\012Check all the hoses for blockages & also clean the air gap. Has the\015\012disposer been replaced recently? If so, chances are the knockout is still in place.\015\012Simply remove the drain hose from the disposer, and knock out the plug. If the\015\012disposer has not been replaced, try removing the drain hose from the disposer\015\012and use a wet-dry vacuum (prepared for water, of course) to **** any water (and\015\012hopefully anything else) from the drain line. Then reconnect the hose, and test\015\012the unit. If you have checked the air gap and the drain hose and can’t locate\015\012the problem, then it is an issue with the drain pump of the dishwasher.
\015\012\015\012
\015\012\015\012Please do\015\012accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further\015\012assistance.

\015\012\015\012
\015\012\015\012Thanks

Yes, it sounds like it is to me. I'm not able to pull your model up on my data base,if I could I would be able to tell you where it is located. I would assume that it's located either inside the pump or close to it. Sorry I couldn't be more help. ... Asko Dishwashers

Asko dw20 pump keeps running even with door open and turned off... The machine got to the final cycle then the pump just keeps running and the glass icon (L2) keeps flashing. All the water is not evacuated from the washer. When I power off from the front the drain pump still runs (and water is still not draining). When I power cycle from the mains (waiting 10 seconds) the pump engages again and the water level drops a bit and then stops draining. I have done this until all the water is empty an

Water problem Hi, I have a Jenn air DW 711 that does not get water. I checked the following: Water line: I unhooked the water line and it is clear & free flowing. Float: The float moves up and down as it should. Filter: The filter inside the tub is clean. The motor runs and will drain any water in the tub I put a bucket of water in the tub and the dishwasher immediately drains no matter which setting I choose. Any ideas? Thanks, Steve

Many dishwashers will drain at the beginning of any cycle. \015\012If the water does not fill after the pump-out cycle, then the problem is either the fill valve or the float switch. You should be able to hear the float switch click as you rais ... Dishwashers

Dishwasher keeps running I have a Bosche dishwasher and the water keeps running. As long as we run it and don't stop it, the pump will continue to drain about every 3 minutes. The water just keeps running though. If we open it to empty the dishes, the cycle will stop. But the water keeps running, filling the tub, and then overflows, flooding the kitchen and drains through our wood floors to the basement below. Our ASKO seems to have a similar problem. I started the dishwasher, and the water ke

I have a Viking dishwasher made by Asko. It is less than 6 months old. Today I had a problem with my disposal (water not draining through it and leaking under the sink) and ran the dishwasher, which cleaned/dried the dishes fine. BUT, since the water was not properly draining from the disposal, apparently the dishwasher was not draining properly either. A repairman came to fix the disposal before I knew about the dishwasher issue. Now, the dishwasher won't turn off "draining mode" - button pu

I have a zanussi ZSF2440 dishwasher, when it turned on by the power button on the front you can choose a cycle and start it, Once the cycle is started it fills up with water but doesn't stop until it over flows setting off the flood protection, which cuts the power, so all the lights on the display go off and stops the water flow and drains the dishwasher and keeps draining the dish washer while the flood protection is on. Machine cannot finish cycle and is stuck in pumping out mode. Only tiny amount of water in drain basin at bottom, no excessive water. Was set at 10pm, still attempting to drain 8am! Has no diagnostic dials or manual over rides so continues on whether door is open or closed, even if I switch off and on again. Possible related issue, recently finish at end of washes has been "grainy", far from perfect, surfaces slightly sandy feeling.

Our Asko D1796 dishwasher has all lights flashing and is displaying a F2 message, which according to the good book means there is too much water in the machine. I have followed the instructions for a normal inlet time but the indicators will not change. Is it trying to tell me the Drain Pump is dead? A new drain pump was fitted three years ago. There is no eidence of water in the machine. Can anyone help? Thanks. Alan

Hi Alan,\015\012\015\012The F2 on Asko means it's sensed an overfill, that in itself though can be provoked by a couple of thing's. First, check for blockage at the end of the drain hose where it connect's to your household plumbing, be it under the ... Asko D1796FI Built-in Dishwasher
