Hi In the middle of a wash cycle, my dishwasher tripped the circuit breaker on the wall. I diagnosed this by unpluggin dishwasher, plugging in a different appliance and switching circuit breaker back on. new appliance worked OK. When dishwasher had cooled, I tried it again on same circuit (which I knew was working properly). The lights came on for about three seconds, and then the circuit breaker cut back in again, so I knew it was the dishwasher that was causing the problem. Is there anyt

When trying to start the dishwasher, pressing the Normal wash button, the dishwasher gives a huge clunk and then it trips the circuit breaker. Upon resetting the breaker, I tried the next button over, which is Soak and Wash, and it seems to go thru the cycle fine. Another time I tried the Normal button, but put the left dial on Rinse and it started up, but it would clunk periodically and it seemed to have a 'hot' smell. I'm worried to use it - what could this be? Is there anything else I can try

My Hotpoit FDL570g dishwasher (that is less than 2 years old) is tripping the circuit breaker originally during a wash and now when the unit is switched off and and door is closed. I thought it may be a door lock / microswitch problem and replaced the microswitch. The dishwasher was good for four seperate washes but now the problem has come back when crockery is loaded when the machine is switched off. I'm going to check for bare / rubbed leads but not expecting to find this with a dishwasher of

Hi there I've got a Miele G572 dishwasher that works perfectly, except that it trips the circuit breaker when it tries to fill with water. The heating works, the timer advances, the spary arms rotate and it drains well. It is a second-hand unit that worked for about 3/4 of the first cycle, then it tripped the earth leakage detector. My Kenmore 665 dishwasher trips the circuit breaker for the kitchen about 30 seconds after it starts to fill. There is a loud pop from the area of the circuitboard at the top of the door at the same time. My guess is it is the heating element that is shorted and is being energized at this time, tripping the CB. Any thoughts?

The dishwasher stop during the wash cycle. It did finish draining the water from the tub. The machine is not showing a power signs, I check the circuit breaker and the fuse is not tripped. I open and closed the door and the door latch seems to be working fine. There is just no power to the washer. Usually when a machine breaks down, there still is power or buttons that light up on the front of the machine. I looked on the internet and many say that the fuse could be tripped.
