Having problems with your Dishwashers ?

Hoover Heds668-80 dishwasher, first fault was a broken door lock which has been replaced. The machine has done one pre-rinse and one full wash cycle. Now whenever we try to run any program it starts, drains, pauses then after 5 minutes beeps 30 times with the pre-rinse and wash lights on.

Answers :

The two lights and the beeping will normally indicate long filling rather than drain problem. For this reason the fault is detected at start.

As first thing follow the troubleshooting indicated on the user manual. Check the drain well, and remove eventual water and debris from the bottom of the tub and from the drain well and filter.

After that reset the machine by holding down the start button for about 8 seconds.
If that does not work also try resetting the machine by disconnecting power. Trip the circuit breaker or try disconnecting the power cord for two minutes to reset the appliance.

If still no luck, then there is a fault.

If the problem is long filling, in that case check if there is water getting in the machine.
If there is no water at all, the first part to be tested is the inlet valve.
The valve is tested reading Ohms at its contacts with the multimeter set at Rx1. When the valve solenoid is broken, the reading will return no continuity.

If water is getting into the machine, then part to be tested is the water level sensor. On Hoover branded machines this is usually a float sensor. The sensor must be checked to ensure the floater is not stuck and that the switch is opening and closing the circuit.

If your machine is faulty and the error does not clear by holding down the start button, as first thing call the Hoover at the number listed on the owners manual. They will give you part prices and a quote on repair.

\015\012OK above is a service and repair manual, although, a generic one, they are all essentially the same, and this can be used to troubleshoot and diagnose the problem, and thus repair it.\015\012
\015\012This Fix below, may NOT apply, however, it is amazing just how many times, regardless of the "Cause" that the doing of the "Procedure" actually fixes the unit for good. So is worth a try....\015\012\015\012Ok so your dishwasher won't do anything... it justs sits there and "Hums" you can't make it respond to any controls, and the ONLY way to Stop it. is to unplug the unit, replugging back in it simply "Hums" again and will do nothing.
Now this happens because, the STOP Button, is pressed and the "Door Opened", during the Wash Cycle. This should NOT be done. You shouldNEVER TURN IT OFF MID-CYCLE. you should instead, Simply, pull on the handle, to Open the door, the system will take care of everything, after, you close it,and pick up where it left off. The turning OFF, makes the machine "Think" that a New Cycle, is going to be done, before the old one is finished, and resets itself to do it all again. But it still has water, that's not meant to be there so it must dump it out.
Now, the FIX. Take the Dishwasher, out, and tip over on it's side, tip to about a 45' angle. Water will come out from underneath, this is from a small "Overflow" reservoir. this reservoir has an "Anti-Flood" switch. The removing of this water will "Reset" this Switch, and allow the dishwasher to work again.
So what happens, is this, when the STOP button is pressed Mid-Cycle, the machine must "Dump" whatever water is still in the machine, into the "Overflow Reservoir". This water then causes the Anti-flood switch to jam, and this stops the machine, until it is reset,by the above method.

Problems with Danby DW1899WP. My husband and I ordered it from Wal-Mart online and picked it up yesterday. We've read through the manual several times, filled all the appropriate receptacles, plugged it in, hooked it up to the water, loaded it, set it, started it, and it doesn't work. It runs the pre-wash rinse for about five minutes before giving a series of beeps, draining the unit, and switching straight to the dry cycle without actually washing the dishes. Help!

We have replaced the gauges, thermostats, motor and element of the diswasher. It is kept constantly clean, and we have tried everything we can think of. My Bosch SHE45M built-in dishwasher is suddenly taking an extra-long time to go through its cycles. On Regular wash it will countdown from 117 minutes to 31 minutes. Blowing fuse... We've replaced the overheating fuse located in the control board area about 5 times.
