Having problems with your Dishwashers ?

Dishwasher We are having a problem with our Whirlpool ADP5540 dishwasher. We have just moved into a new house with this model dishwasher and have tried running it on a number of cycles. It always seems to stop part way through and the start button then flashes three times. Any ideas what the problem is or how to fix it?

If\015\012this is a blinking "clean light", this is a common problem with some\015\012of the Kenmore\015\012and Whirlpool models. I believe the problem is attributed to water supply\015\012temperatures being too low when filling. Apparently, there are some sensitivity\015\012issues with the temperature sensing circuits in some dishwashers. There is a\015\012reset sequence that you can try to clear the fault. Push the NORMAL WASH then HEATED DRY\015\012buttons in that sequence two to three times. The unit will enter diagnostics\015\012mode, but can be stopped by pressing the CANCEL button. This will clear any\015\012existing faults and should return the dishwasher to normal operation.
\015\012\015\012
\015\012\015\012To\015\012keep the fault from returning, it is recommended that you run your hot water\015\012faucet in the kitchen until it runs hot. \015\012This will heat the water in the supply line for the dishwasher (most\015\012dishwashers are fed from the kitchen sink supply line). The theory is that if you\015\012fill the dishwasher with hot water from the start of the wash cycle instead of\015\012the cool water that is normally in the lines (especially if you have a hot\015\012water tank located far away from the kitchen), this should satisfy the\015\012requirements of the temperature sensing circuits. If the fault reappears, there\015\012should be a tech sheet located inside the lower panel under the door that\015\012explains what the fault is. The flashing light will be a series of flashes,\015\012followed by a pause. If you indeed have a component problem, it will depend on\015\012what the flashing light sequence is in determining WHAT component is bad. Let\015\012me know if this helps you. Whirlpool Dishwasher ADG 450. Start as normal and it keeps intermittentlly stopping and starting. Washs / drains fine, but sometimes cycle seams to last for a couple of hours. I think it is four beeps when it is stopping and then immediately starts again. Dishwasher keeps running I have a Bosche dishwasher and the water keeps running. As long as we run it and don't stop it, the pump will continue to drain about every 3 minutes. The water just keeps running though. If we open it to empty the dishes, the cycle will stop. I have two problems with my GUI1500 dishwasher. The 1st is that when water starts entering the dishwasher I hear a loud hammering/vibrating sound. It's strange, but the sound will stop if I turn on a faucet in the house. The other problem I have is that the soap dispensor will no longer stay closed. The Plastic tab that holds it shut has basically disintegrated. Will this cause the dishes to not come clean? Can this part be replaced? I don't see any visable screws holding it onto the door.

Hi - welcome to FixYa,\015\012\015\012The first problem isn't a fault with the washer, it's a plumbing problem called "water hammer", which is a resonating vibration through your pipes. I have an ASKO D3250 and it has recently started making a loud noise from the pump area. It starts as soon as the cycle begins and doesn't stop even if you open the door. It seems to stop about 90 seconds into the cycle. Noise is best described as a noisy solenoid but could also be some sort of actuator that is stuck. What part is the problem?

My LG dishwasher upper rack has stopped cleaning. The uppermost arm is seemingly getting no water at all and the arm on the underside of the upper rack is getting some water, but not enough to turn it. I have already disassembled and cleaned all the way down to the diverter assembly and it has not fixed the problem. I think this is a problem with a the (?) diverter pump or perhaps a sensor that sends water to the upper arms. I am trying to figure out how to further diagnose the problems. The

I have a Bosch SMU2046UC/14 dishwasher that makes some noise but will not start the wash cycle. I found that the noise was from the timer motor by removing the front of the door.
