Hi,

Depending on the model you have this could be a couple of things. The most likely suspect is the water inlet valve. What I would recommend to do is take the bottom toe panel off, typically there are either 2 or 4 screws holding this panel on. Once it is off look to see if you can tell which part of the dishwasher the water is coming from.

If you could send me the brand name and the model number from the tag just inside the door I would be able to help narrow down what to check.

Thanks

My dishwasher after the cycle is over still have a bit of dirty water remaining on the bottom. After few hours is getting more and more dirty water. I have a feeling that some kind of the valve is not working correctly which allows the water from the sink drain to come back? Am I right? Is it a big re[pair or marginal? My dishwasher is about 20 + years old and still the greates one I owned ( I had before Bosh ). I own the dishwaser for last 4 years but previous owner loved it and never repair

Wont dry Hello, I have the Asko D3112 dishwasher. It washes great, but does not dry completely. After a wash everything is still drenched as if i splashed in a bucked full of water. I know it drains properly (i hear it draining down the sink), and it attempts to dry (hot air). I also am using the rinse aid as specified in the manual. Any tips would help. thank you Andrew

Make sure you select a high temp wash and the heated dry as well Also, dont put too many plastic items in there at once, they dont dry very well in anything. Check the amount of soap you are using, it shouldent be more than 2 tablespoons (way less th ... Asko 24 in. D3112 Free-Standing Dishwasher

Hi there, Just moved in to a new place and loaded up this dishwasher. First set it to "normal wash", dry "off", "start". Made noises but after a couple of minutes I heard no water and think I smelled the beginning of something overheating. Think I checked to see if the water was turned on under the sink (turned all the way to the right?). Still nothing but noise. What do you think? Lorraine

Lorraine.. It sounds like the water valve under the washer is stuck or maybe partially shorted. It is a solenoid coil activated shut off valve. The coil may be overheating, and valve not opening.. so motor is running dry. \012If you want to ta ... GE Nautilus 24" Built-in Dishwasher

My 1998 GE dishwasher leaks. Into the floor, now I see stains on the ceiling below. What to check? Door seal is fine. The dishes get washed. Pressure is good to go. No water out of the front of machine, seems to be coming from below. Take panel off and inspect connections? How about line from sink? Is there a site with illustrations or video repair about this specific problem out there? Any help is greatly appreciated...

Check the water connection at the valve to the dishwasher. If the dishwasher only leaks when used then the motor seal is damaged. If leak is constant the the leak is at the supply to the dishwasher from the water supply at the valve\015\012 ... Dishwashers

Bad smell This is more of a general question. When I run the dishwasher there is a bad smell as it fills with water. It comes out of the sink/garbage disposal. I have cleaned out the line that comes from the garbage disposal to the drain and that doesn't stop the smell. Is there a line that needs to be cleaned from the dishwasher to the sink or how can I fix this issue? My dishwasher, at the drain, has water standing and it smells. I think it is there from condensation as the dishwasher, unknow

I have a Bosch SHU9915UC/U11 dishwasher, installed in 2002. Recently, our hot water heater had to be replaced, and we were without hot water for five days. Air got into the hot water pipes, and dried out all the debri in the lines. When we got the new hot water heater going, all of the sediment in the pipes ended up in the in-line screen filters in various appliances (clothes washer, etc.). I have cleaned these out, and these appliances are fine. Since then, the dishwasher has been shutting

Our Whirlpool KUDP01ILBS2 dishwasher isn't working like it used to. Dishes seem to be getting partially clean, they aren't getting dry at all and it seems they may be being rinsed/washed with dirty water. There is plenty of water in the machine when I interupt the cleaning cycle. I always run the hot water in the sink before I start the dishwasher so the first water into the dishwasher is as hot as possible. Also the sani-rinse light is flashing when the cycle "completes".

Leaking dishwasher There is standing water in the dishwasher when it's not being used. Recently we had a garbage disposal installed and was wondering whether this may cause the water from the sink to settle in the dishwasher. Also, the water rises and leaks on the floor. We have to run a wash cycle to drain and dry out the dishwasher. What do you think the problem is?

It appears that the dishwasher is not getting enough water. I have made sure that there is nothing blocking the door area so that the soap can dispense and I have reduced the amount of detergent to maybe a 1/2 Tablespoon. Have tried both powder and liquid detergents. Ran a sani clean cycle with the Jet Dry product for dishwasher used in the rural. I also run the hot water in the sink prior to starting the dishwasher to ensure the water is hot when it comes into the dishwasher. The detergent

There is gum stuck somewhere in my dishwasher drain line. The water won't go down. I took the inside apart and can see the hole where the drain water goes. I disconnected the drain hose under the sink. I got the water to drain out when there was alot in there, but now it won't drain again. I blew compressed air from a compressor backwards through the hose and it makes a big splash and bubbles inside the dishwasher, but the water still won't go down.
