Whirlpool dishwasher - how do i remove timer ??

\015 I am trying to replace the Timer on a Whirlpool 2000 semi integrated\015\012dishwasher. I have found the timer OK but just cannot see how to remove\015\012it from its mount\015

Answers :

When I looked up a Whirlpool 2000 dishwasher, it shows an electronic timer. For a mechanical timer, see last paragraph.
\015\012First, turn off the breaker for the dishwasher. Then you'll need to remove the Phillips screws around the inside of the door. The inner door panel lifts up, leaving the electronics in place. Disconnect the vent motor and the dispenser motor wires. Place something heavy on the outer panel to keep it down and prop up the inner panel. Remove the plastic cover over the timer - it should pop off. Remove the wires to the circuit board. The electronics are held on with one or two screws.
\015\012Mechanical timer: Turn the timer **** backwards. It should come off along with the pointer. This should reveal a 1/4 in ***** holding the timer in place.

Kitchen Aid Dishwasher KUDR24SEBLO does not drain 100%. I have removed the drain hose and chcked the sink P-Trap, [it drains thru the garbage disposer]. Unit is 10 years old, otherwise works fine. I am having difficulty removing the impeller and items above the pump to see if it is clogged. Do you think I have a partially clogged pump or a timer issue that prevents the pump from completely emptying the bottom of the dishwasher? Dear sir In an attempt to dislodge a blockage of my sewer line using Draino and a plunger some of the Drano ended up in the dishwasher and now the dishwasher will not run. My dishwasher is a SHU3036UC/U12. When starting the unit up it empties the unit but the cycle newer ends, in other words the timer does not advance to the next cycle, I have determined that the timer motor works by removing it from the unit and supplying it with power. One thought is, can the water level switch be stuck in

The note by FixAllPhil entitled "Poor cleaning or noisy pump on Whirlpool or Kenmore dishwasher" has a significant error. The first step should be to "Remove the lower wash arm (1) by turning the nut CLOCKWISE (right)". I damaged the threads on my dishwasher nut by trying to turn it counterclockwise. Once that error is corrected, please remove this post.

I have a Bosch SMU2046UC/14 dishwasher that makes some noise but will not start the wash cycle. I found that the noise was from the timer motor by removing the front of the door. The timer continues to run and but only advances until half way through the wash cycle where it stops permanently. Is this a problem with the timer or could something else be causing this problem.
