Not filling enough, already replaced 120v water valve. when unit used to fill there was a hissing sound. no longer hisses or fills enough

Answers :

Hi,
Did you check that you have a good water supply to the water valve....there may be a restriction upstream...
Also... is there 120v for sure at the valve? and how long is the voltage supplied to the valve... the control/circuit board may be bad...
Also check the float that tells the valve to shut off... it could be full of old food particles and be giving a false reading of the water level...

These are a few of the things that I would check next...

You already replaced the water valve. DId you test to see if there is 120 volts going to the valve? If not, could be a bad timer or cycle switch. If you are getting full power, then test your water level sensor

My Whirlpool Gold Series 980 dishwater no longer fills up with enough water to drive the washing arms, so the dishes do not come out clean. I cleaned the filter on the water intake valve (which was really clogged) and it still did the same thing. Replaced the inlet valve and still no change. The water does not reach the level of the overfill float switch, so that’s not it. Its been working fine for 4-5 years, what else could it be? Thank you.

LG dishwasher LDS4821BB just started making a new grinding sound while washing. No similar sounds while filling or draining, so I wouldn't think it is the motor assembly like many answers suggest. We installed it March 2009. This sound may be similar to one which led to the motor assembly being replaced while still under warranty about nine months ago. Unfortunately, the LG repairman was too hard of hearing to be able to diagnose that replacement, so he did it based on our description of

Kenmore Dishwasher model 665.1675592 doesn't seem to wash as well as it used to. Seems to have a low water level. Filler valve works, allows water in, but never seems to fill enough. No spray reaches top shelf, I think due to insufficient water level. It's like the timer doesn't stay on long enough for it to fill. Also cycle time seems WAY up, but if the timer is slow, how does it time out filling so fast? Looks like it would be slow all the time. Suggestions?

Maytag MDBTT79AWW dishwasher fills and nothing else. Once filled you hear a click, followed by a humming sound for 3-5 seconds, then silence. This will happen two or three more times, and then unit will shut off. Motor doesn't start. Repairman says he thinks control board is bad, but he sounds like he is guessing. I performed a field service test , which indicated a fault in the high current motor circuit. Unit is seven years old. Don't know whether to attempt repair, or replace.

That sounds like the motor trying to start but being jammed it is shutting off via an internal breaker. Check for something in the bootom of dishwasher that might have gotten down there that could do this. You might have to take the sprayer off and s ... Dishwashers

Dishwasher wont fill with water. just before it stopped filling i was turning the dial (a lot) between the wash cycles back and forth to attempt to get it to fill and drain (I didn't let it go through a cycle). We also removed the hose from the machine as it had split and replaced it and we had the machine tilted on it's side. the dial still clicks round but it sounds like the pump is going and it doesn't seem to be filling with water. Water fill solenoid receives only 10 volts on normal cycle-not enough juice to open solenoid. Dishwasher does not fill. Dishwasher works fine on short cycle because on that setting the control panel sends 120V to the fill solenoid. Is there a ciricuit board or fuse I can replace?

My sound conditioned Whirlpool dishwasher is real old. It fills up completely with water. It looks like it will overflow, so I stop it. I thought it always started washing from the start. Hello I have a Maytag Quiet Series 300 dishwasher model #MDBH955AWW that is making a lot of noise. I saw an exchange on this site where the expert suggested filling the washer to just above the heating element, running it, and seeing if that solved the problem. I tried that and it solved the problem. I believe the expert said this indicates the fill valve needs to be replaced. Can you tell me which valve I need and advise me on how to change the valve? I have two problems with my GUI1500 dishwasher. The 1st is that when water starts entering the dishwasher I hear a loud hammering/vibrating sound. It's strange, but the sound will stop if I turn on a faucet in the house. The other problem I have is that the soap dispensor will no longer stay closed. The Plastic tab that holds it shut has basically disintegrated. Will this cause the dishes to not come clean? Can this part be replaced? I don't see any visable screws holding it onto the door.

Hi - welcome to FixYa,\015\012\015\012The first problem isn't a fault with the washer, it's a plumbing problem called "water hammer", which is a resonating vibration through your pipes. Hi I have a LG dishwasher, model LD-2052WH/LD-2052SH/LD-2052MH. The machine is about 30 months old, and used very seldom. In the last two weeks we noticed a very loud "grinding" sound emmiting from the machine. This sound usually happens when you switch the machine on as the water if filling or the wash blades are rotating. What is the cause of this, and how can I get it fixed? We have a Whirlpool ADP962 Dishwasher that will not fill. I replaced the inlet hose as I thought the solenoid was faulty. It's gone a step further and now sounds like it fills (continuously) however it soon drains without any water entering the dishwashing compartment (this remains dry). I believe this issue was caused by running it through a cycle without the water mains turned on. Any ideas?

My dishwasher is brand new Model FDB1502RGS0. I used it for the first time today. It seemed to be cleaning for a very long time. It was up to 2 hours and I had to leave so I turned it off.
