Bosch dishwasher (SXH55MO6UC/46): The power comes on and runs normal, but no water is coming into the unit. I was told that it was a water inlet valve that needs to be replaced (part #263833). I need to know if this is what needs to be replaced and if so, is this something that I can do or do I need an expert repair service to do it? If it is something that I can do, I need instructions. I am handy, but this is something that I have not done before, Thank you, Craig Covey

Hi Craig,Yes it may be the fill valve...but first take off the pipe or hose and check the screen just inside the fill valve...some do not have it but most do...also check that water comes out of the hose or pipe at the valve....THEN ... Bosch Integra® 500 SHX55M05UC Built-in Dishwasher

I had a problem with my dishwasher popping the breaker. I opened the bottom and found burnt up wires. I fixed those and now the dishwasher stays on and begins its cycle (by draining) but the water is not flowing to the machine. It has supply, and I just now replaced the water inlet valve- no difference. The water was working before the breaker issue. I'm wondering if it is now something as simple as a clog somewhere since the washer sat unused for a month; or, if it is something more compli

I read your previous problem. This appears to be separate problems. The first was likely a loose wire. When a wire has a loose connection they build heat and can melt. The current issue would seem like the float switch is stuck. The float switch is ... Bosch SHU9925UC Built-in Dishwasher

This a message for phil. The aquastop valve was not under the dishwasher. On my model, it was fitted directly onto the water inlet pipe. I replaced the valve as you suggested. After removing the old valve you could see through the clear plastic housing that water was leaking inside the valve. Anyway replaced valve but had to split wires and reconnect with connections supplied with the valve and according to instructions. Water leak has now stopped but when 'on' button is depresse

I have a Neff Dishwasher and I think the problem is due to the cold water inlet valve. When the dishwasher starts it drains any water and then should stat to fill. If I monitor the voltage to the valve it does switch to 240V but still fails to fill. I have verified that the cold supply works OK and the filter on the inlet is clean. The dishwasher is a NEFF GB5121 and is about 20 Years old.

Dishwasher I have a whirlpool dishwasher that does not appear to be getting hot water. The washer water is cold initially and only seems to get warm once the heater in the base of the machine heats it. The hot water supply line does not get hot so I presume no water is being supplied. Is the water supposed to be hot at the start. If yes could this be caused be a faulty inlet valve and if so how can I check. The dishes are dirty especially on the top rack. Thanks for your help. David

Gendos is on track with his question. I have the same dishwasher and it doesn't get enough hot water to clean the dishes and runs for hours because the heating element wasn't designed to heat water, just maintain it. The only solution we have found ... Whirlpool GU2400XTP Built-in Dishwasher

No Power I have a bosch shx33 dishwasher. I just replaced the water valve because of a leak and now I can't start the dishwasher. It's like there is no power to the unit. I know there is power because I get a shock if I touch the two wires that are connected to the water valve. Is there another trip switch or something somewhere?

First let me say that using parts of your body to test for mains electriciy is a VERY VERY bad idea. You are lucky you are not dead. I have an Asko 1585 dishwasher. It drops the inlet valve on step (step 12), and the recirculation pump (next step) tries to pump with no water. Later at about step 47, the inlet valve begins to work again and the dishwasher finishes the cycle without a problem. I have had the board checked, and all of the power supply and transfer circuits are good. That leaves the processor. Is there any combination of buttons to press which can completely reset the controller board?

Only a small amount of water enters machine when you start normal cycle. I took off water supply line at inlet valve... screen is clean, water preasure is fine.

You might have a bad water inlet valve, when triggered the inlet valve opens up to allow water to enter the machine, it's usually located behind the lower kick plate in either the right or left hand corner, if it's defective it would need to be repla ... Not getting enough water flow into the dishwasher, suspect that a filter is clogged due to recent work on the waterline in the kitchen sink. Need to know where the filter might be located (on the dishwasher or on the intake valve before the connection to the dishwasher hose)? Also would I need to disconnect the water supply to pull out the dishwasher for access to such a filter.

You didn't specify a brand but most dishwashers don't have a water "filter." They may have an inlet screen at the water valve, which is typically located under the dishwasher. Generally, the lower front panel will have to be removed and you should ... Dishwashers

Our Asko 3530 dishwasher is giving us a 'water inlet fault' code. The machine goes through the pre-drain at cycle start then begins to fill, continues until it's full then kicks out the fault code. I have changed the inlet valve, reset the system to factory default and taken off the lower front panel, finding the overflow area to be dry. Is it time to call for service or is there something else to try before spending the big bucks?

Hi,This sounds like either the overflow sensor or the water control valve is stuck.Usually the valve is a solenoid valve that controls the entrance and fill of the water. If the overflow sensor is underneath, there may be wate ... Asko 24 in. D3530FI Built-in Dishwasher
