After wash cycles are completed there is about 1/2 gallon of water remaining in the bottom of the washer. I checked the drain that exits into a disposal and that is clear. All around the bottom of the washer base is clean and I can find no obstruction. Nothing in the owners manual gives me a clue as what else to do. I don't want to start taking things apart unless I have to.

I have just finished taking apart the arms, the supply to the upper arms, the filters and the impeller. I cleaned everything and nothing really seemed clogged. I have tested it since and it still has the same problem. I know that they aren't spinning because i placed them in a certain position before i ran the test run. They

Magic Chef DU4K is not draining all the water. There's at least a gallon of water standing in the bottom. I have cleaned the air gap assembly and drain line completely. They were even sanitized in hot water. I do not hear the water draining like it use to. When it worked properly you could always hear water draining into the GD. Now I can hear any draining. Again, there is no clogging anywhere in the drain line assembly. Is it a bad pump. I don't know where to go next with this.

Ran the dishwasher and the water didn't drain completely. Checked the drain line for clog - it was clear. Scooped out the remaining water (barely covered the flat wire mesh filter in bottonm of the machine) and cleaned off the canister mesh filter and carefully relocked the filtyer in place. Tried to run the machine last night. Soap tray opened but apparently no water cycled through the machine as all the soap was in the bottom of the machine. The others have all broken. Now this one, which is less than 6 months old, seems to have broken. It does not clean the dishes. I have a three-year-old Sears Kenmore Elite dishwasher. I find that despite the fact that we scrape and rinse our dishes before loading the machine, after each three months of use (two loads a day) or so, I have to take the machine apart (spray tower, racks, bottom impeller, bottom screen housing, food grinder cover) and clean-out the food grinder area, for it fills-up with sludge. The sludge restricts the water flow and there isn't enough flow to turn the impellers via that steering jets.

Running tang crystles, runing CLR through it, taking it apart to check for blockages, checking the impeller on the pump, blowing comprssed air through it, scrubbing the inside many times.
