Having problems with your Dishwashers ?
I have tried all the usual tricks of running an empty load with vinegar, and the food particle filter seems to be the kind that isn't removable. Whenever I run a load, there is enough left over particles on the dishes - especially the top shelf, that I either have to wash all the glasses by hand, or run at least one more cycle. I have a standard size hotpoint built-in dishwasher. Please let me know if there is a way to clean the filter, or an alternative method so that the dishes are a

We have a Bosch SHU3307UC dishwasher. Two friends swear by theirs, saying they put everything in dirty and the load always comes out clean. That does not at all work for us. My wife has to just about wash every item before putting it in, and even then most loads are not fully clean. It runs full cycle. We use good detergent. The filter basket is cleaned out. But still...dirty dishes. Help!

After running our dishes through a wash cycle we noticed there was still a lot of food stuck on the plates & glasses etc. We cleaned out the trap but due to the murky water in the well, we also pulled out the racks & removed the bottom plate. The underside was greasy and had a lot of grim stuck to it as well as the bottom of the drawer itself. We washed the filter trap, swing arm and plate in the sink. We loaded it with the dishes that previously did not come clean and ran a full cycle. The

I have gritty debris on the dishes, it appears the small bits left on the dishes before loading get broken down and rinsed onto them as grit again! The dishes are not spotless going in but they are scraped clean--i object to the waste of hand washing then dishwashing . I did run a load with no dishes and vinegar to clean it, the screen in the drain is clean, I don't know what is missing. Its like it doesn;t drain the dirty water away somehow

I have a Frigidaire fdb710lcs0 that never seems to complete a cycle, runs continous, leaves a white cloudy film on the plastic dishes, soap residue on the other dishes, and has a stinky smell now. I first noticed this when I turned the thing on efore leaving for work, came home & it was still running. I have recently wiped "crud" from the bottom inside of the unit where it meets the seal. Although I have read other posts about people cleaning the filter or running a vinegar solution, I don't kn

My G832SC is not draining at the end of the cycle. It runs the entire cycle, and the dishes appear to be clean. The soap dispenser has opened and the dishes are rinsed. However, the dry cycle doesn't run because the machine doesn't drain at the end. The intake/drain light is flashing. If I reset the machine and start a new cycle, it will perform an initial drain and the water level does go down. We checked the tri-filter and the valve pump thing, rinsed both. Checked the hose under the sink. We

Pump problems I had a fairly light load of dishes that needed to run so I thought I'll put some plastic fruit on the top rack to also get clean. Well, when the load was done and I opened the door everything was covered and I mean everything with a whitish substance aka wax! One of the fruit was made of wax an melted all over the entire interior of the dishwasher. We had 30 people now arriving for dinner so I just left it all alone. I should have run it again immediately but I didn't. Now after r

Dishes and the dishwasher look dirty after they run, like it redistributed dirty water. The door is very dirty/filmy except right under the soap dispenser, like someone squirted dirty water on it but wiped right under the soap dispenser. If I run it a second time with vinegar it gets clean, but that is crazy, esp since it takes 2 1/2 hours a load. I have 2 of them and both are doing it. I have changed soaps, added more soap, used less soap, pre-rinsed dishes, put them in filthy, used jet-dry, no

Constant Failure Bought the unit along with other LG products to furnish new home. Problem 1: After first few loads, noticed that the dishes were always wet, the repairman came and said he would try replacing some kind of sensor and that we should run it on the "Sanitary" cycle. I have been negligent in not cleaning out the filters and after the unit more or less stopped, I pulled the two filters finding them full of what looked like soap scum. I cleaned them best I could (but noticed the inner filter still had most of the small holes blocked) Started the unit and it cleaned alright for a couple of days. I own a Bosch dishwasher that has operated perfectly for about ten years. The model is: SHU9915UC. Now it wont complete the cycle. The undissolved detergent is all over the dishes. I am great at repairing many tools and automotive "stuff" and don't want to call a repair facility. Please help.

My 5-year old Bosch dishwasher leaves a somewhat fine grit on dishes? especially obvious on the inside of glasses. I use only Cascade detergent, use a rinse aid, don't overfill the machine, and always make sure that the filter at the bottom of the dishwasher is clean. I also make sure that the spinner is able to move freely. But, after all of that, I sometimes get very clean dishes; even more often, not. I see no rhyme or reason. I am presently looking at an entire load that has gone through

The cycle doesn't seem to stop correctly. I start a load. It doesn't seem to matter which mode that I start in, but it will count-down the time, but at the end it hasn't stopped running. I've cleaned out the filter and the trap below. I've ran vinegar through a cycle. I've cleaned all of the spray arms. It doesn't seem to advance out of the wash mode. There is still some suds at the end. I have to end the cycle by canceling and draining it manually, then run a couple of "rinse--9 minute" cycles

For over six months our dishes (especially glass and china) aare covered in a gritty, darkish material. We often have to rewqsh or hand-wah these items afterwards. We have tried numerous rinse additives, run the dishwasher empty, rinsed 2 or 3 times, and disconnected the hose from the drain and run it into a bucket to see these fine particles. I remved and cleaned the bottom filter a month age. It was mildly dirty (not clogged or filthy) but no improvement was seen. Any suggestions? The dishwash

Ran the dishwasher and the water didn't drain completely. Checked the drain line for clog - it was clear. Scooped out the remaining water (barely covered the flat wire mesh filter in bottonm of the machine) and cleaned off the canister mesh filter and carefully relocked the filtyer in place. Tried to run the machine last night. Soap tray opened but apparently no water cycled through the machine as all the soap was in the bottom of the machine.
