I have a GE dishwasher with the following model number: GSD3230F00WW. Last night, while the dishwasher was in the clean cycle, a buzzing/grinding sound came from underneath the dishwasher. I removed the access panel to try to isolate the sound. It appeared to come from a solenoid that was connected to an arm that opened and closed something. I am not sure if the solenoid is bad or if there was something that was preventing it from operating properly. I moved the arm to which it was connected

The part you are referring to is the pump out solenoid. ( part # WD21X10071) When the dishwasher is suppose to pump out, power is applied to the solenoid and it swings a flap inside the pump assembly to divert the pumped water out the ... GE Dishwashers

Hi Model DU1048XTPQ4...when I started the DW today, it sounded kind of loud. I let it continue, then I smelled something burning. What I think happened is that the lower spray arm is too loose-so when it spins, it gets stuck on the heat ring on the bottom of the DW and then the plastic parts start to melt. We disassembled the spray arm and there was lots of calcium/lime build-up. So we cleaned all of that out, put it all back together, but the spray still seems too wobbly. Went ahead and start

Bosch dishwasher model SHV66A. New in 2004. Has worked well since then, but for last couple weeks something's up. Dishes aren't clean. Residue remains on everything. Food looks caked on & dried to plates. Silverware a little better but not much. Tried running a couple cycles with vinegar, no help. Took out strainers, etc. on bottom of washer & cleaned out; no help. Just ran a cycle now - - opened midway and it appeared the arms were both spinning. Also, water seemed warm (maybe not super

My Maytag MDBH965AWW Legacy Series 300 is making a loud grinding noise. I took off the lower spray arm and other parts below it to see if something was lodged near the chopper blade. What I found was broken plastic pieces from the bottom of the filter/flowplate assembly. It appears that the chopper blade is coming in contact with the filter/flowplate assembly and therefore the chopper blade is chopping away at the bottom of the filter/flowplate assembly. What do you think the problem is? Ho

When the dishwahser door is lowered to unload the bottom rack, I get a small puddle from the top, left side of the door. this is the area where there are vents for the steam that releases during the final stages of the dishwashwer. this puddle happens every single time regardless of how long or short of time after the dishwasher is complete. Is something not working correctly? Or is this just a bad design and condensation is buidling up and this puddle is the result? My wooden floor is taking a

The note by FixAllPhil entitled "Poor cleaning or noisy pump on Whirlpool or Kenmore dishwasher" has a significant error.
