Having problems with your Dishwashers ?

Noticed water on floor. Found both heater nuts cracked and letting water by the rubber gasket and tub. Water leaking into the heater power supply wires. Bought new nuts and want to know if this is a constant issue. Nuts are just cheap stampings and it seems likely it will happen again. Any suggestions Don

Kenmore model#587(Frigidaire) leaks under door. New install. Had machine for a year plus before install. took off front panel- can see water squirting past lower door gasket as wash arms rotate. cause is water running down door during wash cycle piles up in the channels molded into the lower left & right side of the wash tub and pushes out the sides of the lower gasket. looks like a design issue- called SEARS, they just want to sell me a new gasket! go figure. any ideas on a fix?

It does sound like an inner door seal ,however If you get upset at Sears and complain they may help you as they say the squeaky hinge gets the oil..And with Sears the more you squeak the better your chances of results ...Good Luck ... Dishwashers

My dishwasher was recently 'installed'. i don't know if the contractor made a mistake or if the water valve is not turned on, but the cycle tries to start but then no water is flowing into the dishwasher. everything appears to be hooked up, but I think it's the water issue b/c i also have a new refrigerator and the water dispenser/ice maker does not work because no water is flowing into the fridge either.

This sure sounds like a water valve issue, for sure. You will have to trace out the lines (not easy, but possible) and figure out where the valve is. They usually turn left to open, and right to close. I would call the contractor and tell them ... Frigidaire Professional Series 24 in. Built-In Dishwasher Dishwasher

I want to buy a new GE diswasher but I do not know about water inlet, is it hot water or it could be normal?

My old Neff dishwasher S4132 is constantly taking in water even when switched off! I can drain it ( every hour!) by putting it to drain cycle but have to turn off the mains supply when leaving it even for a short time. Awaiting a plumber as the tap to isolate the supply has broken but am interested to know if a new aqua stop will solve this problem or could it be something else??

Maytag Dishwasher I would like to know the proper water level after DW fills. Older Whirlpool units a quick guide was when water just covered heater. I have a new D/W and the water supply is difficult to access, there is a kink in the water line slowing the water flow. The D/W fills to bottom of heater, but because the unit is so quiet I can't determine if it is timing out or working properly. I intend to repair water line when counter work is done. Thanks for any help Gary

I have a Bosch SHU9915UC/U11 dishwasher, installed in 2002. Recently, our hot water heater had to be replaced, and we were without hot water for five days. Air got into the hot water pipes, and dried out all the debri in the lines. When we got the new hot water heater going, all of the sediment in the pipes ended up in the in-line screen filters in various appliances (clothes washer, etc.). I have cleaned these out, and these appliances are fine. Since then, the dishwasher has been shutting

EDW5500DSS wont completely drain water Okay so now that my dishwasher runs, when it finishes a cycle it has a nice puddle of water at the bottom that never drains completely out. I am assuming its a relay or something because I looked for a floating switch (did not find), I can hear a pump sound as if it wants to pump the remaining water out, but, it doesn't. I really want to solve this problem soon so I can order the new door seal and needed part together. Checked the line out and of course i

What could be causing white powdery residue on dishes, glasses & silverware? I have checked the heater element - seems to be hot, using Cascade powder as usual, we have and have had hard water, we do have a new water heater set on 'low' setting - temp of water measured at 113 deg at kit tap. This washer has worked well for 12 years, then white powdery residue. Thanks, Phil
