Having problems with your Dishwashers ?

I have a KitchenAid dishwasher KUDS01FLB6. The center wash arm assembly keeps falling off during the wash cycle. Two questions: 1. should the water release slots on the wash arm assembly be facing up toward the ceiling of the washer, or down toward the dishes? 2. why would the assembly keep coming loose - could the plastic connection be worn?

Answers :

Yes the connection is worn or even broken

Have a Maytag model DWC7400AAW dishwasher and the pressure from the wash arms is weak. hardly enough to make the arms spin. I restricked the water flow through the center washer post and it's at lease spraying further up and ratating slowly. Would this most probably be the impeller? What would you suggest?

The spray arm, above the top rack, keeps unscrewing during the wash cycle. Just the arm comes off leaving a round plastic part attached to the top. This can be unscrewed and inside is a white 'washer'. The arm can be clipped back but comes off again in the next wash. The plastic 'washer' has to be turned over to allow re-attachment. Is a washer missing from inside?

The disk washer doesn't drain at the end of the rinse cycle. There is a humming sound but no water is forced through the hose to the sink/garbabe disposal. At the end of the wash, there is a large amount of dirty water in the bottom of the washer. I removed the spray arms, the spray arm holder and the screen and then removed the water, and found a couple of pieces of plastic. But I don't see how I can remove additional parts from the washer bottom. What could the problem be? Is there a fi

We have been using this model since Sept. 2007.When new, it worked very well. It has over time, performed less then we would expect. Not only do we have to scrub dishes by hand before placing them into washer, they some times require hand washing after being washed by machine. Not only are they dirty, the glasses are covered with a cloudy white film. We have not done any maintenance or service to this dish washer. Does this washer require some sort of service or attention. Please advise. Thanks

My Kitchen Aid KUDS01FLSS2 dishwasher does not spray water thru the wash arms nor do they seem to turn. Additionally, one of the the bottom arms hits the "cap, internal rear feed" where it clips to "feed tube assembly" when rotated by hand. The spray arm assembly appears true on visual examination. The unit fills, cycles and pumps out in an apparent normal way. While on this site a while back I was advised to clean the unit and referred to a downloadable repair manual that was, in fact, not

A few days ago the dish washer was running fine, maybe a single wash every day. Then, out of no were the logic seems to have left the machine. My LG LDF7810ST dishwasher does not spray water from the middle or upper spray arms, therefore the dishes don't wash properly. Even when I ask for a top load only, the bottom spray arm is the only one moving (which I would expect that it shouldn't move at all since I've requested a top load only) I checked the spray arms as best I can to make sure that they're not clogged.
