Having problems with your Dishwashers ?

I have a GE Profile Dishwasher, Model# PDW7880J03SS that doesnt dry the dishes. I pulled out the dishwasher and checked the heating element for continuity with my ohm meter and got a closed circuit reading. I tested the voltage going to the heating element and got a 124V reading. However the dishes are still soaking wet after the drying cycle. What am i missing, what else could be wrong with the machine that the dishes won't dry at all?

\015\012Check if the dishwasher is draining and filling properly is water temperature. Water temperature should be between 120 and 140 F. If water is not hot enough then heating element has gone bad, to check the element you'll need a multimeter. The reading of the element should be around 3300ohms(3.3k ohms), if the reading is less than this then the heating element is faulty. Use multimeter at resistance setting(RX1 or RX10) to check this. Next thing to check for is the detergent cup and spray arms. Check if the dishwasher's spray arms are working fine and all the holes of the arms are clear. Now try using a different detergent like gel or liquid based detergent to see if it helps.
\015\012Dishes are left unclean/wet when the dishwasher is not filling in properly or when the water pressure is low. Check for water pressure and water inlet valve. The water inlet valve if faulty will draw very little or no water. However, if you observe that water pressure is fine and there is no issue with the Fill valve then check whether the dishwasher is draining. If it's not draining then see if the drain hose is plugged or clogged. If drain hose is fine and the dishwasher is still not draining then there is some issue with the drain pump or drain filter. To check this you'll need to disassemble the dishwasher and trace back the drain hose to a pump, remove the drain hose from pump and clean the debris from the pump and filter. Make sure you have lots of towels as there would be a lot of water coming out from the pump. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

Yes I have a whirlpool DU1345XTVB1 dishwasher. Just got in July. After each wash cycle the dishes are not dry. I have been using Finish gelpacs w/jetdry & also have a off brand drying agent in reservior to help dry dishes. The water temperature is set pretty hot & washer is draining good. I have tried checking wash cycle a few minutes into 1st cycle to see if water is in filling & heating. Didn't know if maybe heating element going out or thermostat not working? Thank you for your time.

Even though I turned up the thermostat on my hot water heater, the water in the dishwasher does not seem to be hot enough. Mold is growing in the food grinder and even though I choose the heat dry option, the dishes are never dry. Yet, when I touched the element, I got burned. The dishes are not getting clean because it doesn't seem to be hot enough to cut the grease.

I have a 2 year old Electrolux ESL 63010 dishwasher, and it worked perfect until a few days ago, when it did not wash cleanly and the dishes came out cold. I read a few forums and it seemed to indicate the heating element. So I ordered one a fitted it, but still the water is not getting hot, or drying the dishes after the complete cycle. I have done a visual check of the PCB board, which looks clean and good. No error sounds, and it completes all programs, but with cold water and no drying. W
