Having problems with your Dishwashers ?

Drain pump continuously runs when dishwasher switched on no displays on front ,stays full does not heat ,or start program

Answers :

Our AEG did this (but it did display an errorcode). It simply meant that there was a water on the bottom of the machine. I found this out by tilting the machine so the water leaked out and than the machine ran normally for the next two washes. Then the same problem occured so there had to be a leak somewhere. I opened the machine up and found one of the hoses was blocked causing an overflow.
Hopes this helps you to pinpoint the problem.

Fills with water, sounds like it starts to pump water then stops, then start again. It attempts to start pumping water 3 or 4 times them turns off leaving the water in the tub. I have read about the water needing to heat up for the cycle to advance. When I check the water that is left in the tub it is warm but not hot. The heating element is not hot either. I did a continuity test on the heating element and it seems to check out ok. I also did a continuity test on the red wire from the heating e

Our Hotpoint Dishwasher BFI 680 will start up as normal on any program, take in water, heat it up then, we hear a bubbling noise, as though the hot water is just boiling and not being pumped around. Is this the pump? Thing is, the machine will then drain the water, with the pump presumably pushing the water out?

When starting a wash cycle it pumps out the remaining water as usual. It fills normally but does not pump/wash the dishes. It continues to heat and when first noticed it seemed to have gone through the complete cycle but didn't wash. The detergent door had opened and the soap pack dropped out but it never dissolved. The dishes were extremely hot too. Is the same pump used to both drain the washer and wash the dishes?

I have a Gallery 900 series GLDB958AS dishwasher. The cycle status lights (just right of the "time remaining" status window) continually blink. None of the buttons on the front panel work and every 10 minutes or so the water pump starts up for about a minute then shuts off. No water enters the dishwasher. I tried turning the power off then on but there is no change. Every so often a random cycle light will blink or light up for a minute, then turns off.

Our Asko 3530 dishwasher is giving us a 'water inlet fault' code. The machine goes through the pre-drain at cycle start then begins to fill, continues until it's full then kicks out the fault code. I have changed the inlet valve, reset the system to factory default and taken off the lower front panel, finding the overflow area to be dry. Is it time to call for service or is there something else to try before spending the big bucks?

I have the Karcher 2400 psi, 5.0 Honda engine. Starts fine, but when you pull the handle on the spray wand, the pump does not kick in and the water just continues to trickle out of the end of the wand at regular faucet pressure. Occasionally the "clutch" will kick in and you have full pressure, but if it does and I let off of the trigger then chances are that it won't kick in again. has been getting worse for several years.

Have a Kenmore dishwasher #665.1677993, approx. 13 years old. Upon starting new cycle the pump turns on for a few short seconds, then off, then after a couple minutes it goes on again for a few seconds then off, then later in the cycle it does stay on for a longer period of time. In conjuntion with this intermitent problem it has begun leaking out the bottom of the front door. I have checked drain line, check valve, strainer/screen and vent in the door. I assume it is an electrical issue?
