Having problems with your Dishwashers ?

My dishwasher doesn work . it wont start the cycle. Some one has changed one part (not sure what it was!) but their next step was going to be look at the waste to see if that was clear. Is it right that this could cause it to not cycle? How do I check the waste? THANKS

Answers :

If the program controller is able to set the program , then the machine must start up. Only if the waste water/drain is clogged will there be a flooding resulting in fault in the drain cycle.
\012So it is important that the machine takes in water before the program moves on.
\012It is OK to check the waste line. look for the drain pipe, remove the drain valve/pump and it will be clogged. If there is a sensor to this it can switch off the machine- as you have not mentioned themodel/make.
\012So remove clean/flush and reset. If not the program controller must be checked.

Asko dishwasher- about 1 year old. Dishes are clean but very wet at the end of cycle. The bottom tub is filled with water (looks clean and warm). The dishwasher is leaking and water on tile kitchen floor. I checked for a float device inside and do not see one. What do you think problem is? How can I check hoses to see if clogged- do I need to pull washer out? Is that hard?

The dishes are not clean when we run the wash cycle. It looks like the water flow from the top sprayer is NOT working. The door, when we open it, has undesolved soap stuck in globs on the top of the door. The top dishes are not clean and some of the botom dishes are not clean. We've run some clear washes to see if we can find the problem. The water flow looks suspect. Is it in the electronics or in the water mechanics. Our Asko D3112 was not draining, so we had maintenance drain the hoses to clear any blockage but it did nothing. They said it must be our pump not working. I ran one more cycle to see if things went back to normal, however now our pump won't shut off. We have to unplug the machine just to get the pump to stop. We had a repair technician come to look at the dishwasher and he says that it is a problem with the control panel/computer system. Something tells me it is a merely a loose wire and that w

I have an Ariston LS245 dishwasher, have just had the pump replaced, as it had shorted out, due to water in the bottom tray where the water detection float is, also a new drain hose fitted. Have just run a wash and after running a while, presumably to the end of the rinse, wash and dry cycle, then one of the cycle phase lights, the one for 'soak' blinks constantly. I switched the machine off and had a look to see if a wash had been done, the dishes look clean. In the book it says that if one

I have checked the hose and even swapped it round with my washing machine one but this makes no difference. I have cleaned all the filters and taken off the cover to check the 'propeller' as sugested in the instruction manual. But no joy - check water light still illuminated and willnot continue with cycle. - Help!!

I have a General Electric Potscrubber dishwasher. When the cycle is finished, the water does not drain into the sink.I turned the unit upside down to look into the bottom. The motor turns freely. The instruction sheet I found in the bottom of the unit said to remove the filter screen and check the piston valve. I looked at what I thought was the piston valve, but I'm not sure how to check it. Yes I have a whirlpool DU1345XTVB1 dishwasher. Just got in July. After each wash cycle the dishes are not dry. I have been using Finish gelpacs w/jetdry & also have a off brand drying agent in reservior to help dry dishes. The water temperature is set pretty hot & washer is draining good. I have tried checking wash cycle a few minutes into 1st cycle to see if water is in filling & heating. Didn't know if maybe heating element going out or thermostat not working? Thank you for your time.

Power off I have an ASKO D3100 Dishwasher, which is a few years old now. It stopped working a while ago where the power went off and stayed off (no lights anywhere). I've checked the power point and it's okay. I've flipped the dishwasher over to look inside and I can't see a fuse or anything that looks helpful. Can someone help me troubleshoot this one?

I bought this dishwasher 5 years ago and was kept in the box until last month. I installed it, turned on the water and no water is being pumped into the unit from the water release valve in the dishwasher. I then checked all the cycles and everything works except for the pump. Then I checked to see if any power/volts was going to the pump and there is none. Could it be a wiring problem or could it be the circuit board?? please help. thanks

My Bosch dishwasher has several problems: 1) Water doesn't completely drain out and dishwasher kind-of smells when I open it -- I do keep the filter very clean. 2) The dishwasher takes HOURS to go through one load, no matter what the time says on the display and no matter what type of cycle you choose -- quick, delicate or regular. 3) The red display often displays something that looks like "2h" at the beginning of the cycle. 4) The place where you put the detergent doesn't shut.

Dishwasher problem Our Asko 1353 dishwasher stops halfway through its's wash cycle. I suspected the thermostat, as it seemed loose in it's holder and not tight against the tub. After I tightened the holder the problem is still the same. Also, the on/off switch (pressure switch?) does not stay in the on position and when I looked it over I found one of the crimp on terminals had melted. Short circuit? Too much resistance from bad thermostat? How do I check the thermostat before I order a new one?
