Having problems with your Dishwashers ?

Hey, bosch sgs43a18gb/27 dishwasher not heating the water and hence the cycles take ages. ive read that plugging it into the hot water feed is not recomended, so is there a fuse on the element i can test? if not im assuming the element has gone in which case the washer is scrap as an element is £100 cheers

Hi,

OK there is a NTC (temperature sensor) which is near the heater in the sump unit.

Meter it out and check the wiring. You should get a reading in Kohms.

But to be honest i have never replaced 1 of these on these machines before. And i do alot of bosch machines.

If\015\012 the heater is fine then its more likely to be the control board which \015\012is the problem. As there is a heater relay on the board which does fail.

But just check the NTC first as you never know it may have gone. If that's fine then its more likely to be a faulty control board.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

I have a JDB1090AWS about 3 years old. We noticed a smell and found cutting boards and plastic cups melted. Machine was off. Had to turn off the breaker. Checked both leads to element & have power even with machine off. Not sure if it could be the limiting thermostat; I assume that is to shut the heat down when it gets too hot. Element is on though when it shouldn't be to begin with. I did have to tighten the water supply. Had some water underneath, but all wires seemed dry. Any tests I should t

Fills with water, sounds like it starts to pump water then stops, then start again. It attempts to start pumping water 3 or 4 times them turns off leaving the water in the tub. I have read about the water needing to heat up for the cycle to advance. When I check the water that is left in the tub it is warm but not hot. The heating element is not hot either. I did a continuity test on the heating element and it seems to check out ok. I also did a continuity test on the red wire from the heating e

Purchased in 2003. Dishes were exquisitly clean till 2008. Our water heater temp was set at 140 temp. This heater was replaced with a heater now set at 125 temp. In the past two years dishes are nowhere as clean on the the normal start setting. Should I go to the Pots and Pans start setting to get hotter water or should I turn up my water heater? All this is assuming that water is not hot enough. Does the washer heating element ever burn out?

I have a GE dishwasher model GLDL560N10SS. I noticed a burning smell coming from it the other day and then realized that although I can hear water running into the dishwasher when I start it, it never actually runs in the sense that the water is pushed through the various outlets to wash the dishes. I'm assuming that it is because the unit is dry and the heating element is still coming on that it is causing a burning smell. If I open the unit and reset it, it pumps the water back out into the si

I have a Whirlpool Quiet Partner 3. It sat up for a few months because the control panel went out and it took a while to save up and order a new one. Now it blew the thermal fuse. I put a 15amp automotive fuse in it to try it, and it runs until it fills up and blows the fuse again. I am trying to figure out how to test the motor and the heating element to see if they are shorted. My local repair shop told me that they want to replace my new panel with their panel first, and that after that

I have a Beko DE3542FS dishwasher which has stopped heating the water. I know the heater element is ok because I have had it tested.
