I found water on the floor and after inspection I found out that the door seal is broken (rotten). It is the one that is mounted directly on the door. How to replace it without a damage of the door?

Answers :

A heat gun. Alternatively, some sort of small knife, then something to oxidize the residue.

The new part has a face plate that snaps on to the screw mounted base plate assembly which attaches to the door. The detergent dispenser door on my AEG favorit 86070vi will not spring open. I found a small coil spring on the floor and suspect that it was involved with the opening function. For info, the dispenser door fell off a few weeks ago and was replaced by my wife. She can't recall how she did it and I can't see how it can be removed. The spring has one arm approx 10 mm long, the other is about 2 mm and the coil (body) is about 10 mm. Hope you can help

My dishwasher is leaking huge amounts of foam to the floor. This is what happened before I ran the cycle: I had mistakenly poured detergent into the "Rinse Aid" slot in the inner side of the dishwasher door. After one or two cycles, I realized the mistake, and tried to rinse out the remaining detergent from the "Rinse Aid" compartment by running the cycle without screwing on the cap of the Rinse Aid slot. I found out it was a mistake as huge amounts of foam is being released during the rinse cyc

My Maytag model mdb9600aws motor shaft seal is leaking. How do I remove the seal and replace a new one. I am a novist, but I have taken the motor completely out and replaced the seal / gasket that the motor sits in, but there still is a leak. I am afraid the leak is going to destroy the motor as it has corrosion / salt like stuff about the motor. I have attempted to pry the shaft off with the use of 2 screw drivers. I was thinking since I am going to replace the whole motor shaft seal and chop

My dishwasher, a Whirlpool DWF B10, is not cleaning properly. When the cycle has finished, there is always a block of undissolved dishwasher tablet/powder left behind. My guess is that the seal to the powder door has gone and allowing the tablet to get wet too early and part dissolve before the door opens - is this likely to be right? If so, can I get a replacement seal or do I have to replace the whole powder & rinse aid containers ??
