Having problems with your Dishwashers ?

I have been interacting with Daniel about my Dishwasher Smart Dispenser problem. The last thing he had to say to me was that I needed to replace my drain pump. Before doing this, I would like an explanation of why a new drain pump will solve my problem since my dishwasher is draining just fine...it is my Smart DIspenser that is clogged up and not working ?? See the discussion here: Dear go4t9ers, There is a new Comment for the I would like to run the Smart Dispenser Purge Solution on

Hi
\015\012\015\012

I said the drain pump should be replaced because you have\015\012already checked everything else. If you think the drain pump is working fine\015\012and you have checked it then the issue seems to be with the float switch assembly that\015\012is bad and should be replaced. Float assembly is found inside the dishwasher's\015\012tub, on the bottom. The water that fills your dishwasher lifts the float, and\015\012when it reaches a certain level, it acts as a trigger for the float switch. The\015\012float triggers the float switch to shut off, thereby shutting off the flow of\015\012water into the dishwasher. A defective switch may interfere with your\015\012dishwasher's filling and/or draining ability. Use your voltmeter to test the\015\012switch. Set the device to the ohms setting x 1. Take each probe and touch them\015\012to one switch terminal each. This should produce a reading of either zero or\015\012infinity. Continue to touch the probes to the terminals, and press down on the\015\012switch's button. The reading should change to the opposite extreme. If your\015\012switch fails either of these tests, you should replace it. Hope\015\012this helps...please post back for further assistance.

WE have a LG dishwasher model LD-14AW3. It recently stopped working properly and stopped draining the water. WE called our dishwasher repair man in and he said he thought it would need a new board and we would be better off to discard the dishwasher.I took the dishwasher downstairs to discard but left it there for awhile as I still had reservations about it. I took it in and hooked it up again it worked very well doing the whole cycle. We brought the dishwasher back up into its place and it con

My bosh dishwasher SHX55M06UC/46 will not drain. A new disposal was put in and the dishwasher drain plug was not punched out and the dishwasher was ran that way. Now it just holds water in the bottom. I've tried resetting or canceling the wash cycle but that doesn't work and the washing cycle works fine. I'm hoping there is a reset or a safety for the pump if it gets clogged.

A GE triton dishwasher causes hammer noise when stops filling. The sink faucet works fine as do all the other faucets in the house. I cleaned all of the traps in the dishwasher. Because the sink works, I don't think it is a sink valve problem. I turned off the water to the house and drained the system, the air chambers should be good. Is there some component of the dishwasher that could be causing the noise? Would cleaning the pump help? If so, how would I do that?

The cause of the hammering noise, (slamming) is due to the water inlet valve on the Dishwasher (DW) shutting off abrutly once the DW reaches the proper amount of water.\015\012\015\012If this is an older DW, you might want to replace the ... GE Dishwashers

I have a Jenn-Air JDB9910AWB dishwasher. The problem I am having is everything seems to work fine until the drain cycle. It sounds like the pump is frozen. After selecting the drain button you can hear a click in the control panel followed by a 1-2 second growl in the pump but it doesn't turn or pump. I am assuming the pump runs in reverse for draining? Is it safe to assume the pump is bad?

I have a Kenmore 665.1373 Ultra Wash dishwasher that will not work. In the past few weeks, it stopped mid-cycle, the the clean light began to flash. Sears sent out a technician who told us that the latch was not catching. He adjusted it, did something with a computer and the dishwasher worked for a couple of days. This time, it would not start a cycle, it would only show heated dry if you pushed the smart wash button and nothing if you press start. It looks like some of the lights are continuous

Frigidaire 2405 Dishwasher has a direct drain into the floor and is too far from the sink to be able to drain into the sink pipes. Can I add a loop of drain hose from the floor drain up to the counter height, about 30", then back to the floor to mimic the loop that would be created by running to the sink drain? I have been told that these new types of dishwashers require water remaining in the pipes to work properly. Thanks, John

Plastic Pieces We purchased our ASKO 1385 dishwasher 7-8 years ago. Over the years, I have found "small square, thin, pieces of gray plastic" inside. Where are these coming from? Also, we have replaced the drain pump 2 years ago and looks like we'll be replaced the main pump within the next few days as no water is going through. We are looking at paying big $$$ for that pump. Almost half as much as purchasing a new dishwasher. Is this a common problem?

Bosch dishwasher SHX46A05UC/40 is making noise when draining. I have cleaned the screen and hose back to the drain and removed all debris. So it seem to be the 'drain pump'. But replacing it - now that seem complex - is it? Looks like I would have to stand the DW on its head and remove the base and then replace the pump. Anyone know if I am on the right track? Could it be something else?

The dishwasher pump sounds like it is trying to drain, even when the stop button is pressed and the door is opened. The only thing that stops it is turning the power off at the power point. However, when the power is turned on the pump continues. The wash cycle icon flashes, but the usual cycle indicator is not lit at all. The dishwasher will not commence a new cycle.
