Having problems with your Dishwashers ?

I have a Delonghi dishwasher model no. DW67S/W which is coming up with the E4 message. I had this once before and was told to turn it off and on and it righted itself. This time however I used the next bit of advice. I took everything out including the salt cap thing, tipped it on its side and drained all the water out, reconnected the hoses and when I turned it back on it seemed fine....no E4 messaage straight away. It drained out for a while and then starting filling. It has overfilled again

Answers :

Hi.

As you know E4 means overflow.

If the problem occurs regularly there is either a problem with drain line, or a fault.

Ensured that you have removed all the water from the inside and cleaned thoroughly the drain well inside the tub. A blocked drain may result in E4.

Disconnect power and move the appliance forward. Reset E4 once again, if it does not go by tripping circuit breaker, clean water from drain well and and run cycle with the appliance tilted 45 degrees so to push water toward the drain well. Observe safety and ask help from someone else if required.

When you start the cycle test with the drain hose at the back disconnected and placed in a bucket on the floor. Incorrect drain hose setting will result in siphoning. That means water coming back into the appliance from drain hose because of incorrect elbow height (setting is shown in the user manual: DeLonghi).

If that does not not fix the problem, then there is a faulty part.

Fault that commonly result in E4 is:

Defective overfill device.
The technician test the overfill device by jumping its circuit.

Uncommon fault:

Defective timer control board:

In your case the problem is likely either water stuck at the bottom of the tub or drain problem. If problem keeps coming back, then the overfill switch may be defective.

Miele dishwasher makes grinding noise when turned on, there is a light on front next to inlet/drain. So I poured some boiling water into the dishwasher and then left it turned on and could feel the boiling water coming out of the drain hose so I am assuming it is an inlet problem, as it will drain but will not fill or otherwise work. There are a few small cracks in the outer hose of he inlet hose just below the grey box thing, could that be enough to cause the problem? They are only small so I di

I have an Asko 1606 dishwasher. I had a new hot water tank installed in my house, it seems that with the water being turned back on that the black hose from the outlet side of the solenoid has come adrift (not from the solenoid but the other end), it seems that it has to be reconnected to an opaque coloured tank on the side of the machine, is that correct? re Wayne

Dishwasher wont fill with water. just before it stopped filling i was turning the dial (a lot) between the wash cycles back and forth to attempt to get it to fill and drain (I didn't let it go through a cycle). We also removed the hose from the machine as it had split and replaced it and we had the machine tilted on it's side. the dial still clicks round but it sounds like the pump is going and it doesn't seem to be filling with water. Shu9925uc/14 bosch dishwasher leaves standing water in the bottom of the pump. The pump seems to be bad because it wont drain out the back hose. One day the diswasher was working fine...the next time it turned it on it ran for about 3 min. then shut off and seemed to have no power. I checked the breaker...it was fine. A few days went by and all of a sudden the lights were blinking on the panel. So I pushed the cancel drain button. The water drained out and I then proceeded to load the dishwasher and turn it on again thinking it was just a fluke when it shut off earlier in the week.
