Having problems with your Dishwashers ?

The spray arms on my GSD2230Z02WW dishwasher are not continuously spraying water throughout the cycle; thus, the dishes are not coming out clean and the powder detergent just ends up clumped near the dispenser, within it, and in some cases, on the bottom of the dishwasher (tub area). How can this be fixed?

Answers :

Take the spray arms out and look at the ends. There should be some holes drilled at an angle to make the arm rotate. If they are blocked there will be no rotation. Also make sure the filter is clean; if it clogs up the force of the water being recirculated would be inadequate to get a good stream. And finally, if the water temp is below 150 degrees inside the dish washer it will not completely dissolve all the components of the detergent.

Soap gets stuck inside the soap dispenser, so that at the end of the cycle, there is a clump of soap still in the dispenser. We have also noticed that the rubber seals at the back of the dishwasher (the ones that the spin arms plug in to) are getting worn. Will get new gaskets this week, but wondered if the soap dispenser isn't another problem.

My kenmore 17349 dishwasher is not cleaning properly. The door for the soap opens but all the soap doesn't get dispensed. 50% remains after the end of the cycle. We haven't changed soap and it used to dispense properly. It suggested to me the middle washarm was not spinning. As near as I can tell it is spinning.

My Asko D1976 dishwasher is not cleaning dishes properly. There is a lot of clumped detergent left in the dispenser after wash cycles are complete, and many of the dishes have dried-on food left on them. I rinse dishes before loading them into the washer, I have made sure the jets and washer arms are clean, and made sure the food trap at the bottom of the washer is empty, yet the problem persists. I think it has to do with the detergent not dissolving and dispensing. Is there some reason the

First of all, don't pre-rinse the dishes. Check the water temperature, it should be between 120 and 140 degrees. Be sure you are not partially blocking the dispenser door so that it isn't opening. ... Asko D1976 Built-in Dishwasher

The detergent dispenser [Main Wash] door doesn't stay closed. It seems like there is something wrong with the latch, but we can't what. We've cleaned it, but don't know what else to try. There don't seem to be pieces missing or broken. But no matter what, when we put in the detergent [we use the cubes] the door always just pops open and the detergent ends up falling to the bottom on the dishwasher. The dishes are still getting relatively clean, but we want to solve the problem with the door

There is soap left at the end of a cycle from the dispenser. It is trailing down the door and standing in a puddle at the bottom of the dishwasher. The soap that is not in the trap door seems to wash away, but not the soap that comes out once the trap door pops for the main wash. Any ideas on how to fix this or what could be causing the problem?

We have had an LG 7810 dishwasher since 2007. There is a film always left in the bottom of the dishwasher (large area, covers most of the bottom, not just near the drain) and a moldy sludge that builds at the bottom where the door seals. We can clean it out manually, but I don't think you should have to wash the inside of your dishwasher.

My trusty Bosch s510 Dishwasher which has been going strong for about 17 years (at least) has just decided not to empty itself. I noticed the bottom was full of water after a wash. I emptied all the water out by hand and presuming there is a blockage in the drain tried using a plunger to unblock it. I have a Kenmore dishwasher, model 665.17019401 (serial number FS1002610). It goes through all cycles, drains out water, periodically, and dries the dishesat the end. But, when it ends, there is water at the bottom of the tub, at least 1 quart of water. I have to drain out the remaining water in the dishwasher. What is wrong?

Since purchasing my dishwasher last year I've constantly had intermittent problems regarding the detergent dispenser. It often does not open and therefore does not release the detergent into the wash...the detergent gets damp inside the dispenser and sticks....it often tumbles out when I open the dishwasher door at the end of the cycle.
