Having problems with your Dishwashers ?

We replaced thermal fuse (inc all wires), worked for about 2 months. Replaced thermal fuse again, ran it 2x's, 2nd X it broke. We have a new thermal fuse on hand, but need some advice on what could be causing the problems. When the dishwasher does work, it cleans as if new.

Answers :

Probably a bad heating element, You may want to change that to before replacing the fuse again.

I have a Whirlpool DU1055XTSS dishwasher that completely stopped working. I took it apart, found the thermal fuse to be bad, ordered a new, then replaced it and it worked for 2 loads. Now the thermal is open again. What could be "taking it out"? Is the thermal fuse strictly a thermal or does it repsond to current? It's 2 years old, i have already replaced the heating element, the main control board, and now the thermal....twice.

I have an 8 year-old Kenmore 665.16912 dishwasher. Worked fine until two days ago. Then it stopped working altogether: nothing lights up on the front panel. I have checked the 120 in the electrical box, the door switch is working, the thermal fuse is working and there is 120 volts at the white and black connections to the timer control board. I bought a new timer control board for $120 and that did not fix the problem. What else could be causing the unit to completely stop working?

I would like to know how to test the dishwasher to find out the root cause of the fuse issue. I don't want to be replacing the fuse every time and don't have the $$ to buy a new dishwasher. I read on the internet that you need to replace the entire wiring kit that comes with the fuse but my repairman says this will not fix the problem and refused to replace the kit.

We recently purchased a Whirlpool ADP 4736 dishwasher, and just last night while it was working the fuse just blew, and we heard a popping sound at the back of the washer. We tried to replace the fuse, but the same problem. rnAlso, there a lot of water has collected at the bottom of the washer, although the dishes have been cleaned and dry. What could be the problem and the solution for this. All the instructions are in Polish and made in Poland. Please advise?? Many thanks Percy'

Our GE dishwasher (5 yrs old, Model GLD4250L00CS) only fills with water half way when the unit is started. The inlet valve was replaced with a new one, but that did not solve the problem. When started, the dishwasher fill cycle runs for 41 seconds before the wash cycle begins. Repair workers told us we probably need a new ECU (Electronic Computer Unit). My questions are: Is 41 seconds the correct time for the fill cycle for our model? What else could be the reason for the unit not filling pr

Dishwasher FDB4315LFC0 Error code ER uo Second time it has happened. First time, a repairman came and said I needed a new "vent assembly", but I asked if he could "un stick it," so he took it apart and fiddled with it, and it worked for about a month. Now the error code is back, and he warned that if it came back, I should have it replaced. I've only had this NEW machine 10 months -- this shouldn't happen, right? Any suggestions? Thanks.

My Whirlpool GU2400XTP dishwasher keeps blowing the fuse. It sat up for 6months because the control panel went out and I couldn't afford to get a new one. Finally replaced the panel and the thermal fuse blew during the first wash cycle. I tried to put a 15AMP fuse in it's place to check it out before I bought a new thermal fuse and it too blew during the first cycle. Any ideas?

Blowing fuse... We've replaced the overheating fuse located in the control board area about 5 times. It has just blown again after using the dishwaser one time--before it would go about a month before blowing the fuse. It seems to get about a few minutes away from completing the wash cycle and does not complete the draining process. Help!! We don't know what to do next--replacing the fuse is costing about $15 each time, before you know it we could have bought a new one! Thanks for the help. Ti

Tim, this blown fuse issue was pretty common on this model. Whirlpool, which made this model came out with a fuse kit that included a terminal and heavier guage wire to eliminate this problem. It just splices right into the control board, easy job. T ... Kenmore 17024 Built-in Dishwasher
