The flashing power button is a bad sign. You may have flooded the circuit board out or there may be a bad component as a result of the flood. Difficult to know from here.

\015\012Most flooding on dish washers is caused by a failed float switch or aeneroid switch. These tell the unit that there is enough water. The float is located in the front of the dish washer and should move up and down easily. If not, why not? If you don't have such as switch, there is a tube from the bottom of the tub to a round flat device with two wires coming out. It controls the level. Blowing on it should open the circuit. Sucking on it should give you a 'vacuum'.

GE GHDA485N 10CS Dishwasher that has standing water in the bottom after the cycle completes. I pulled it out and reconnected power and ran a rinse cycle. I could see that water was pumping out the clear drain pipe but there was still about an inch of standing water in the bottom. Any thoughts as to what part has failed. Does the system use a water level switch or a timed drain cycle to determine when the water has pumped out. If it is a timed cycle could a slow drain cause the problem. Thank you
