Pull the bottom sprayer out. There should be two clips on either end of it that allow it to come out. Then remove the screen from the bottom of the dishwasher floor. This can be tricking and may take some effort to get out. I'm betting the drain in the bottom of the washer is plugged and needs to be cleared out. I usually have to do this every few months.

We recently bought a house with a Kenmore 363.16222100 (?) dishwasher. No manual. Monday night it didn't drain properly and leaked some water on the kitchen floor. The cycle had finished when we saw the water on the floor. We bailed out the excess water. I took off the drain cover and insert. I couldn't see an obvious clog problem, but cleaned it out. Then I tried a short cycle, interrupting it to shorten it. No problem. Water seemed to drain fine. I did find a part that looked like a straw and

I have a white chalky reside on my dishes after running the dishwasher. It looks like it has come off once I rinse them and they are wet, but when I dry them again it is back. I need to clear out broken glass from the gray pan underneath where the water drains to, but I need to take the twirling water sprayer off first to get to the next piece that looks like it is bolted down, and I cannot see how to remove the twirling sprayer part. Bosch dishwasher SHX46A05UC/40 is making noise when draining. I have cleaned the screen and hose back to the drain and removed all debris. So it seem to be the 'drain pump'. But replacing it - now that seem complex - is it? Looks like I would have to stand the DW on its head and remove the base and then replace the pump. Anyone know if I am on the right track? Could it be something else?

New dishwasher (Beko 2542F slimline model). Put it on for 1st time last night -when I got up this morning, the cycle which should have taken just over 2 hours hadn't finished. There's soapy water in the bottom of the machine which hasn't drained and the "wash" light is still on. Looks like the dishes are clean but hasn't moved onto the rinse/dry part. Followed instruction in manual to drain it (hold start stop button till lights flash and should drain in 45 sec) but nothing happened.

GE GHDA485N 10CS Dishwasher that has standing water in the bottom after the cycle completes. I pulled it out and reconnected power and ran a rinse cycle. I could see that water was pumping out the clear drain pipe but there was still about an inch of standing water in the bottom. Any thoughts as to what part has failed. Does the system use a water level switch or a timed drain cycle to determine when the water has pumped out. If it is a timed cycle could a slow drain cause the problem. Thank you

In between wash cycles, water seems to back up into the dishwasher. I had a plumber take a look at the drain and disposal in the kitchen sink to see if there was an issue there. He suggested to have appliance repair tech to come look and indicated that he believed that the issue may be the "cylianoid" valve. Does the this valve prevent water from backing up into the dishwasher after it has drained?

Magic Chef DU4K is not draining all the water. There's at least a gallon of water standing in the bottom. I have cleaned the air gap assembly and drain line completely. They were even sanitized in hot water. I do not hear the water draining like it use to. When it worked properly you could always hear water draining into the GD. Now I can hear any draining. Again, there is no clogging anywhere in the drain line assembly. Is it a bad pump. I don't know where to go next with this.

Sears dishwasher 665.15882000 part #8268296 fell off and I can't find the "screw" that holds it in place...probably went down the drain. Now dishes do not "dry" on air dry. The part that matches the number for replacement parts does not look at all like the one that fell off. The one I have is round and the replacement one showing looks like some funky ninja weapon. Will this work on my machine? How easy is it to replace this part?

Dishwasher fills with hot water. Float OK - water feed stops when full. Motor humms but no water spray (in all opperating modes). Cancel selection (with cancel button) and close the door. The water drains then the unit shuts off. Water feed OK. Drain Cycle OK. Looks like spray pump hung but do not know. Cannot find a reset button (as with disposal) or way to free hung pump motor. I did see glass pieces in the drain. Possibly a small piece hanging the motor.

If you found broken glass inside the machine some has likely migrated to the pump. about the only way to fix that issue is to remove the pump and either replace it or disassemble it and clean it out. ... KitchenAid 24 in. KUDP01FL Built-in Dishwasher
