E1 error on kenwood didhwasher

\015 Won't run gets e1 message \015

Answers :

Gday
As you said, it is not getting water.
E1 is just the machine telling you this.
A couple of easy ones to check:
1. remove the hose where it screws on to the dishwasher, leave the other end connected to the tap (preferably put the machine end in the sink or a bucket as to not make a mess), and turn on the tap. If the water is not getting through the hose, it may have a faulty water block (flood preventer) on it.
2. If there is water getting through the hose, make sure that the hose is not kinking as you push the dishwasher back in to its hole.
3. If there is water getting through the hose and it is not kinked, and you cannot hear any water going into the machine, you may have a faulty inlet solenoid or control board. Might be cheaper to get someone in to fix it. If you were to guess, I would start with the solenoid, as it would be the far cheaper part.
4. If you do hear water rushing in before you get the E1, then the machine does not know that it is getting water. Could be either a faulty pressure switch or the pressure tube that goes to the switch.

Hope this helps
Adam

We have a Kenwood KDW8ST2A dishwasher. We used to get the error code E3 (when still under warranty) and were told not to use dishwasher tablets as it generated too much foam. The problem has been intermittent but now we get the E3 error every time, no matter what program we run, or how little detergent we put in. I've a feeling its not heating up properly, is there any way to check the heating element? Is it worth attempting a repair?

Hello, I am having problems witha kenwood dishwasher, it just isn't cleaning anything. It seems to be going through the cycles and sometimes the dishes particularly in the top rack are a bit cleaner but in general they are uncleaned. There are no error codes. I wondered if the arms for some reason weren't turning correctly as some of the dishes were clean but this is inconsistent. I have tried changing detergents, adding more salt and rinse aid but it still isn't working, can you help?
