Dishwasher problem Our Asko 1353 dishwasher stops halfway through its's wash cycle. I suspected the thermostat, as it seemed loose in it's holder and not tight against the tub. After I tightened the holder the problem is still the same. Also, the on/off switch (pressure switch?) does not stay in the on position and when I looked it over I found one of the crimp on terminals had melted. Short circuit? Too much resistance from bad thermostat? How do I check the thermostat before I order a new one?

I think your switch may just be bad,but to check the t-stat remove both wires and use a multimeter, set the meter to ohms and connect the two leads to the terminals on the t-stat.with the t-stat to off you should read an (ol) open condition, when you t ... Dishwashers

I have an Asko DW1875 dishwasher (10yrs old) which has just recently started having problems. The initial symptom was that during a washing cycle, unit showed '1' and inside became very hot (melting some plastic cups/plates in unit). On further investigation (with diagnostic mode), the dishwasher is filling and draining with no problem. When circulation pump runs there is barely any water pressure in blades (just dribbles out) and water leaks into undertray via a plastic white tab near front (v

I have a Viking dishwasher made by Asko. It is less than 6 months old. Today I had a problem with my disposal (water not draining through it and leaking under the sink) and ran the dishwasher, which cleaned/dried the dishes fine. BUT, since the water was not properly draining from the disposal, apparently the dishwasher was not draining properly either. A repairman came to fix the disposal before I knew about the dishwasher issue. Now, the dishwasher won't turn off "draining mode" - button pu

Dishwasher flooding Hi my Asko D1716 Super Cleaning System Dishwasher has started to have a flooding problem. When the cycle finished last night it seemed fine then in the morning the machine was full of water, I scooped out the water and by this evening the machine had flooded onto the kitchen floor. I tried other solutions I found on this website but they didn't suit my dishwasher as it doesn't have the appropriate buttons. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Asko diswasher D3122 - white, built in. For the past 6 months, the dishes are coming out white. I have had the dishwasher for a number of years and never a problem. I had changed to Cascade Complete so I thought that was it, so I switched back to the regular type of Cascade and still have the problem. I tried adding vinegar to the wash cycle and this helped initially but no longer works. I should not have to add vinegar to every load if it worked fine before. A new problem is that in the la

Dishwasher keeps running I have a Bosche dishwasher and the water keeps running. As long as we run it and don't stop it, the pump will continue to drain about every 3 minutes. The water just keeps running though. If we open it to empty the dishes, the cycle will stop. But the water keeps running, filling the tub, and then overflows, flooding the kitchen and drains through our wood floors to the basement below. Our ASKO seems to have a similar problem. I started the dishwasher, and the water ke

My asko dishwasher(1504) keeps running sometimes, The time will run down to 1 min on the disply and stay there and run on and on until I turn it off. Prior to this another problem occured, when the washer does shut off on it's own, the display will read F1(Falt in the heater), I am wondering if one problem has to do with another. The heater problem I can deal with but not the continueous running.

F1 doesn't mean that it's always the heating element itself, often it \015\012can be the control board relay that has shorted and isn't sending power \015\012to the element. If the element is the faulty part, you'd be looking at \015\012about $250 f ... Dishwashers

We have a model # 1385 Asko dishwasher. For the last few months we have found a film over all our dishes and pans washed in the dishwasher. We have found vinegar removes the film, but the need to constantly wash the already-washed dishes in vinegar to be defeating the purpose of using the dishwasher! We have used Cascade Complete for years, but we have tried different brands now, but nothing solves the problem. Can you please help us??????? Nancy Vocci

I have an Asko 1585 dishwasher. It drops the inlet valve on step (step 12), and the recirculation pump (next step) tries to pump with no water. Later at about step 47, the inlet valve begins to work again and the dishwasher finishes the cycle without a problem. I have had the board checked, and all of the power supply and transfer circuits are good. That leaves the processor. Is there any combination of buttons to press which can completely reset the controller board?

Plastic Pieces We purchased our ASKO 1385 dishwasher 7-8 years ago. Over the years, I have found "small square, thin, pieces of gray plastic" inside. Where are these coming from? Also, we have replaced the drain pump 2 years ago and looks like we'll be replaced the main pump within the next few days as no water is going through. We are looking at paying big $$$ for that pump. Almost half as much as purchasing a new dishwasher. Is this a common problem?

Yes, I have the same problem and it is the upper bearing rack, not the pump impeller. The new bearing kit is $30.00 (another is available for $123.00-the same!!). ... Asko 1385 Dishwasher

Asko dishwasher- about 1 year old. Dishes are clean but very wet at the end of cycle. The bottom tub is filled with water (looks clean and warm). The dishwasher is leaking and water on tile kitchen floor. I checked for a float device inside and do not see one. What do you think problem is? How can I check hoses to see if clogged- do I need to pull washer out? Is that hard?

Our Asko dishwasher no longer cleans the top shelf of dishes properly. Fine white and black grit is left on the dishes after every wash, and if there is any food residue on the dishes it does not come off. In addition, food residue that was not on the dishes to start with is being thrown up onto the top shelf and doesn't clean off the dishes. The control unit was replaced 2 months ago at vast expense, and this problem only arose following the repair. The only suggestion from Asko to fix the new

Our Asko D1716 dishwasher functions to fill and empty but the pump which causes the sprayers to rotate and distribute the water does not function. The local appliance repairman diagnosed the problem as a bad pump (he called it a motor). Since the pump is a $400 part plus labor, is it possible that the problem is something else like a bad motor capacitor or relay? When the cycle calls for the pump to come on, there is no sound except for a very soft hum.
