Water Inlet Valve

\012 \012 \012 \012 \012 \012 \012 \012 \012 \012 The dishwasher has an electrical water valve \012called a water inlet valve. If the dishwasher won't fill with water, the\012 water inlet valve might be defective. These valves are not repairable \012and will have to be replaced. \012

\012 \012 \012 \012 \012 \012 \012 \012 \012 \012 The float assembly is normally inside the \012dishwasher near the door on the floor of the dishwasher. If something \012gets stuck underneath it and holds the float assembly up, the dishwasher\012 won't fill with water. If the float assembly moves freely up and down, \012the float switch might be defective. \012

Float Switch

\012 \012 \012 \012 \012 \012 \012 \012 \012 \012 The float switch is actuated by the float \012assembly. It is a protection device designed to prevent the dishwasher \012from overfilling. If the dishwasher won't fill with water, it may be \012because this float switch is defective or stuck. \012

Water Supply Problem

\012 \012 \012 \012 \012 \012 \012 \012 \012 \012 The dishwasher is connected to the hot water \012supply from the house. Check to be sure the household water supply valve\012 is turned on. Over time, calcium deposits can build up in the water \012supply valve or in the small filter screen inside the water inlet valve.\012 The water supply line may need to be removed from the water inlet valve\012 of the dishwasher, then run some water into a bucket to see if there is\012 enough pressure. Be certain to turn off the water before working on the\012 water line. \012

Hello, I have a problem with our Miele G646SC Plus dishwasher. It starts its cycle OK, draining out any residual water, taking in fresh water and doing the initial rinse. After about 5 minutes it then stops with the "inlet/drain" red light flashing. The detergent is still in the holder and the water is still cold. The filter at the bottom of the compartment is clean, the drain pump spins freely. I've also checked for any leaks in the bottom of the machine that would trip the styrofoam/microsw

When I take a glass or cup out of the dish washer after they are cleaned and heat dried, or a day plus from the cabinet to put cold water, too many small bubles are floating on top the water surface, as a soap-like condition; it clears up shortly. I have a 13 month old (Thanks Sears warranty!) Kenmore Portable Dishwasher Model 665.17769. It drains poorly, taking 2-3 times after load is completed running thru the ''cancel/drain'' cycle to clean it out. It is not getting dishes clean either, presumambly because the dirty water isn't being flushed out at cycle end and instead of rinsing with fresh water, it's still screwing with the dirty water. Manual doesn't offer any advice except to see if the hose is kinked (it isn't). I made sure nothi

Mod #: MDB6600AWB Ser #: 16505148CG No water comes out of spray arms, checked and cleaned filter-OK. Wash impeller is cracked where it slides onto the hexagon rod but it you take the filter flow plate off and put the impeller back on, when you put the unit on rinse only and quickly open the door you can see it is still turning and moving the water. The unit still fills and drains. it just does not have enough force with the impeller to force the water into the spray arms.

I have a three-year-old Sears Kenmore Elite dishwasher. I find that despite the fact that we scrape and rinse our dishes before loading the machine, after each three months of use (two loads a day) or so, I have to take the machine apart (spray tower, racks, bottom impeller, bottom screen housing, food grinder cover) and clean-out the food grinder area, for it fills-up with sludge. The sludge restricts the water flow and there isn't enough flow to turn the impellers via that steering jets.

I have a Bosch dishwasher (SMI5072), bought in 2005 second-hand but working OK. It has always been a little slow to get going, and I had initially thought the clockwork program dial was getting stuck. Then I concluded that it had something to do with the filling up process, and I thought it must be because the water was rather cold and paid no more attention to it. This has meant that it seemingly takes ages to get through a cycle. Yesterday I put it on, left it and got on with some work. An h
