Having problems with your Dishwashers ?

Dishwasher Problem... Hey, I'm sorry I can't seem to find this information anywhere else. I'm having a similar problem with my dishwasher (also a kenmore quiet guard) and I wanted to try to clean the filter. I'm not sure how to remove the lower arm of the dishwasher. There is a kind of plastic-screw in the middle of the lower arm, is that what holds it on? I'm afraid to try twisting it because I don't want to break it. How did you get it off of yours? I hope I'm not bothering you! Thank you, Je

You are right. The plastic screw needs to be removed. I have a Quiet Guard 4. My procedure is as follows:
\015\0121. Remove baskets. Need to pop off the 'keepers' at the ends of the top slidding shelf supports.
\015\0122. Remove bottom washing arm. Unscrew (Gently but firmly) the centre post. Lift arm assembly out.
\015\0123. Remove overhead conduit. One screw at back, one at top.= (Philips #2 bit). Rotate whole assembly 45 deg right (Clockwise) and lift off of centre post.
\015\0124. Remove centre post (Pull straight up). Remove 4 screws (Star T-20 bit). Lift the whole plastic assembly out. Pop off the screen and clean,
\015\0125. Remove cap over cutter/chopper. There is one screw at the left front (Star T-15 bit). Remove screw and cap (Needs some wiggling to free it up). Remove cutter and filter (this is the water blocking problem). It is on a spring loaded pin. Pull the cutter blade foreward and lift the filter disc straight up. Clean thoroughly. I ran a 'quick rinse' cycle with everything out to chean the inside.
\015\012Reassemble.
\015\012Hope there is enough of a similarity to be helpful.

I have a GE Dishwasher model #GSD4134Z02WW. I am trying to remove the lower spray arm. Mine is cracked. There are no screws or bolts holding the arm in the dishwasher that I can see. The new piece appears to have threads on it as to indicate that you would just screw it in place. The old piece doesn't screw/turn. How do I remove this piece?

Dishwasher, nautilus, doesn't spray water out the top arm? I'm haivng to wash dishes 2 times, and still no better results. I've tried opening the door fast during a water cycle to see which is the problem - can only figure it is the upper arm, the lower arm seems to have water coming out, can't tell if the tower raises completely up.

I have an Equator Mini Maid PLS602S dishwasher. It works fine, but the upper spray arm fell off and the clip and knob holding it in place are missing. I followed 'Mindcell's' advice on fixing my Kenmore QuietGuard 4 dishwasher, and I managed to clear out all the food particles that have accumulated. I suspect that is probably why the middle spray arm has not been very effective. However, in my repair, as I was screwing in the star screw that holds the cover of the foodscreen (the lower most star screw), I managed to overturn it and break it. Thus, the food screen is only held by a plastic clip, and from what I can gather, pressure from a

I have adjusted the latch and that does not resolve the problem. I have two problems with my GUI1500 dishwasher. The 1st is that when water starts entering the dishwasher I hear a loud hammering/vibrating sound. It's strange, but the sound will stop if I turn on a faucet in the house. The other problem I have is that the soap dispensor will no longer stay closed. The Plastic tab that holds it shut has basically disintegrated. Will this cause the dishes to not come clean? Can this part be replaced? I don't see any visable screws holding it onto the door.

Hi - welcome to FixYa,\015\012\015\012The first problem isn't a fault with the washer, it's a plumbing problem called "water hammer", which is a resonating vibration through your pipes. My LG dishwasher upper rack has stopped cleaning. The uppermost arm is seemingly getting no water at all and the arm on the underside of the upper rack is getting some water, but not enough to turn it. I have already disassembled and cleaned all the way down to the diverter assembly and it has not fixed the problem. I think this is a problem with a the (?) diverter pump or perhaps a sensor that sends water to the upper arms. I am trying to figure out how to further diagnose the problems. The
