Having problems with your Dishwashers ?
I have a kitchenaid model KUDS01JBT dishwasher. The Chopper Assembly keeps pluging up causing the dishwasher not to wash properly. Can I remove the chopper Assembly and run the dishwasher without causing any further problems to the dishwasher or will it cause other problems with the pump etcetera? Thank you for your assistance.
- \015\012Check the water temperature. Should be 125 to 140 F.
- \015\012Check pump re-circulation., Listen, see if it sounds like it is spraying the water around with enough pressure.
- \015\012Check water level when the fill cycle has completed. Should be just under the heating element. If not, possibly need to replace the water inlet valve.
- \015\012Check the spray arm and pump cover for splits or leaks.
- \015\012Check to make sure dishwasher is draining after each cycle. There should only be a little water in the bottom of the tub.
- \015\012Make sure the dishes are loaded properly, or dishwasher is not overloaded.
- \015\012Possibly try a different detergent. Some liquid-gels will bubble and a pump cannot pump bubbles.

Our Asko D1716 dishwasher functions to fill and empty but the pump which causes the sprayers to rotate and distribute the water does not function. The local appliance repairman diagnosed the problem as a bad pump (he called it a motor). Since the pump is a $400 part plus labor, is it possible that the problem is something else like a bad motor capacitor or relay? When the cycle calls for the pump to come on, there is no sound except for a very soft hum.

A GE triton dishwasher causes hammer noise when stops filling. The sink faucet works fine as do all the other faucets in the house. I cleaned all of the traps in the dishwasher. Because the sink works, I don't think it is a sink valve problem. I turned off the water to the house and drained the system, the air chambers should be good. Is there some component of the dishwasher that could be causing the noise? Would cleaning the pump help? If so, how would I do that?
The cause of the hammering noise, (slamming) is due to the water inlet valve on the Dishwasher (DW) shutting off abrutly once the DW reaches the proper amount of water.\015\012\015\012If this is an older DW, you might want to replace the ... GE Dishwashers

My LG dishwasher upper rack has stopped cleaning. The uppermost arm is seemingly getting no water at all and the arm on the underside of the upper rack is getting some water, but not enough to turn it. I have already disassembled and cleaned all the way down to the diverter assembly and it has not fixed the problem. I think this is a problem with a the (?) diverter pump or perhaps a sensor that sends water to the upper arms. I am trying to figure out how to further diagnose the problems. The

GE GHDA485N 10CS Dishwasher that has standing water in the bottom after the cycle completes. I pulled it out and reconnected power and ran a rinse cycle. I could see that water was pumping out the clear drain pipe but there was still about an inch of standing water in the bottom. Any thoughts as to what part has failed. Does the system use a water level switch or a timed drain cycle to determine when the water has pumped out. If it is a timed cycle could a slow drain cause the problem. Thank you

My dishwasher has become increasingly louder over the last year during the wash cycle. Is it a problem with the Motor and Capacitor? I know it is not something in the Chopper Assembly, I have fixed those issues in the past. This noise is like a loud hum!

I have a Bosch dishwasher model no. SHU66C05UC that does not drain properly. After checking for a clear drain tube and finding no problem. I'm having problems with the drain pump constantly running. I understand so far that it'll be the anti-flood device that is causing this. I've taken the dishwasher out and tipped it backwards to drain as much water out as possible but nothing comes out from anywhere ! It appears to be a sealed unit so how do I get to the appropriate part and fix it ? Cheers !

Our GE model GSD4320Z00B is having a problem with the drain system. I've run the unit in the test mode and it does pump the dishwasher down. The problem is the unit does NOT pump down during a normal wash cycle. The fact that the unit works in test tells me it is not the pump. I've checked all the hoses and drain paths and there are no obstructions, again verified by the fact it works in test mode. Any test that can be used to determine the problem besides replacing parts one by one?

I am having difficulty removing the impeller and items above the pump to see if it is clogged. My Maytag MDBH965AWW Legacy Series 300 is making a loud grinding noise. I took off the lower spray arm and other parts below it to see if something was lodged near the chopper blade. Plastic Pieces We purchased our ASKO 1385 dishwasher 7-8 years ago. Over the years, I have found "small square, thin, pieces of gray plastic" inside. Where are these coming from? Also, we have replaced the drain pump 2 years ago and looks like we'll be replaced the main pump within the next few days as no water is going through. We are looking at paying big $$$ for that pump. Almost half as much as purchasing a new dishwasher. Is this a common problem?
