We have had a problem with our dishwasher since "winterizing" it to close the cottage for the winter. We were told to run it for a few minutes with antifreeze in it and then turn off and let it overwinter with the antifreeze in it. Now the machine leaves everything coated with a white film, even though we have a water softener and use jetdry. How can we fix this and is this the proper way to winterize our dishwasher if we close down our cottage and turn off the heat for the winter?

I need to winterize the built-in Kenmore dishwasher in a mountain cabin where winter temperatures will drop below freezing. The unit is at least 10-15 years old, but I don't have the model number handy. My approach to the cabin water pipes in general will be to gravity-drain them and then blow out remaining water by adding and releasing air pressure. RV antifreeze will go into all P-traps. When it comes to the dishwasher, my plan is to remove the drain hose from the P-trap and drain it as mu

I have a Bosch SHX46A05UC14 dishwasher. The dishwasher is in a new home I just purchased. I tried to run the dishwasher on a normal cycle. However, when I push POWER and NORMAL CYCLE it makes a buzzing noise...and that's it. I opened the dishwasher and on the base of the dishwasher there was a screen that could be removed. I noticed that there was still some anti-freeze fluid in there (because the house was winterized). Could there be a simple solution to this problem?

I live in the country and have mice problems in the winter. I found a mouse inside my dishwasher; it crawled back out through a small vent on the left side wall of the dishwasher. What is this vent for? Can I seal it up without a problem?

The vents are to allow air circulation around the motor when they are built in to hatches. It would not be wise to seal any of the vents. You could of course apply flywire to them with some silicon to prevent entry, ensuring mouse IS on the outside a ... Maytag Dishwashers

I have a KUDS02SR installed at my cottage and, after connecting it for the season, I noticed a bit of water shooting out the housing where the water enters the dishwashed. I removed and cleaned the plastic housing but it still happens. The cycle finishes normally and cleans the dishes but I'm not sure how to stop the splashback from the housing vents. Thanks for your help.

But from few days, after opening the dishwasher door, the clean light does not go off, it remains lit. Dishwasher doe snot reset for next cycle.
