GU980 dishwasher I have a buzzing sound when the washer is in drain mode. The manual indicates there might be something in the Power Clean Filter, and that it will go away when the object grinds up. We recently purchased a new pump for our frigidaire gld4355rf dishwasher. The old one started making grinding noises. When we moved the dishwasher it had leaked due to a failure of an interior seal. Our new pump is now making the same grinding noise but it is not constant. When my husband adjusted the pump by using his hand when he got into a certain position the noise stops. I have an LG 1415M dishwasher and it is making an extremely loud noise. It's that loud when it gets to a certain part of the cycle that it is deafening. Dishwasher is making a loud grinding noise when it's started. Doesn't matter the cycle choice; the cycle starts as normal then once started up starts making a sort of grinding noise as the water is pulsing, like something is stuck or blocking the "push" of water. When I start the dishwasher, it sounds normal. A few minutes after it starts, it makes a loud, thumping noise that lasts for several minutes. After a while, it stops making noise, but about half way through the cycle, it starts making the loud, thumping noise again. It's loud, annoying, and does not get our dishes clean. My kenmore/whirlpool dishwasher makes a noise, sort of a grinding noise, throughout most of the cycle. I have removed the pump and motor thinking that their might be something in the pump, but there is nothing there. Dishwasher makes grinding noise during wash cycle (after pre-wash). noise persists for 15-20 minutes. It seems as though the inlet valve doesn't open during this phase of the cycle. adding water to the dishwasher manually eliminates the noise and water circulates through the wash arms.
