Having problems with your Asko 24 in. D3530FI Built-in Dishwasher ?

Dishwasher is reading "overfilling", but no water is in unit. Door can open, noise of motor or pump continues and will not shut off even with the Power switch. Only way to stop noise is to turn off the circuit breaker at the electrical panel. What does this sound like to you?

Answers :

HI- The flood switch has been tripped. It is located under the unit and is not really accessible except by a Tech. The most likely cause it poor draining; if there is a little water left over from each part of the cycle then eventually the water will overfill into the pan under the dishwasher and trip the flood switch. Check the Air Gap on your sink for blockage if you have one and check the dishwasher filter inside the unit. You can just let it sit for a few days or a week and the water in the pan will eventually evaporate and the switch will remedy itself, or you can call a Tech and have them dry it out and check the drain function. Hope this helps, good luck.

Hello, Our kitchenaid DW has stopped working. Non of the buttons cause a any of the lights to turn on. Of course, it will not start. On its last working cycle, it had a very strange washing cycle. It almost sounds like the water was not splashing around (even though I opened it while it was working and noticed water at the bottom). I checked the circuit breaker, and it is not tripped. For a couple of weeks, the DW had started making a kind of metallic noise while in the washing cycle. Also,

I need to know how to reset the "brain" the start button is flashing and won't stop when I close the door it makes a humming noise and no water is running. I turned off the breaker but it won't reset. Is there like a "hard reset" I can do

I don't think you may need to reset the dishwasher. All that might be happening is the float switch located in the base may be malfunctioning. It could be stuck. 3 problems: 1. lower drawer is hard to close; seems to be sticking on something. 2. lower drawer retains water (2 inches) after completing a cycle. 3. F1 fault code on both drawers with alert occurred when washers were not in use. I had to turn off the electric circuit breaker to make it stop.

Ok where to start, first thing the bottom draw is hard to close because they use 2 little motors on either side to pull a lid with a seal on it down on top of each draw when u start it to keep the water in, if its hard to close the motors are damaged ... Kitchen circut was accidently turned off. Worked fine prior, what could it be? The unit has not been removed from under the counter yet. Is there a fuse or circuit breaker on the unit? If so where is it located? Other troubleshooting ideas

GU1500XTLS3 Periodically won't start. Dishwasher has power because pressing cancel causes dishwasher to start draining (even though there is no water). Door switch works because opening door prevents starting drain cycle. No other button on control panel will work except for the 'air dry' / 'lockout' button. Turning off circuit breaker for 15-30 minutes and then turning circuit breaker back on seems to fix the problems but only for a couple uses and then it stops working again. Need ad

Whirlpool model DU960 - from 2001, I think. Stopped running mid-cycle and the cycle lights flash. Won't run. How to fix? If I press 'Cancel/Drain', it flashes that button light. If I press one of the wash cycles again, it turns on the pump for about 1 second, shuts off and the lights flash again. I tried turning off the circuit breaker and turning it back on, but it still won't run. Is this fixable? Do I need to call for service? Or, would I be better off just replacing it?

Maytag mdb9150 dishwasher stopped at some point last night--found it this morning with flashing lights--I think "clean" and "heated dry", not sure.  I used "drain/off" to make sure there was mechanical noise--there was, so I don't think the machine is dead.  Purchased on 2001 with 5 year warranty, so out of luck there.  I tried turning off the electricity to the unit for a few hours; nothing improved.  When you start it (or think you have!) it makes noises for about a minute that sound promising
